Need to remove the dimmer connection... and monitor this senario.

What type of energy saving lights? PLC or PLC-E? Might want to consider getting your replacement from other shop.

There are dimmable eletronic ballast in the market for PLC tube, but have to change to 4-pin PLC tube as well.
