It is almost impossible to find cool white 4000K bulbs, be it led or cfl around my area, bangi. Currently, my downlight fixtures are fitted with two cfl cool white bulbs. Thinking of replacing those cfl bulbs with led bulbs.
Is it possible, in a fixture, to use 1 warm white bulb 2700K and 1 daylight bulb 6500K to produce something similar to 4000K?
Anybody tried it?

QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 18 2016, 08:56 AM) A range from 3500k is ok. As long as the lumens is high. The strong lumens will give out bright yellow and reduce the yellowish. Cant find 3500K bulbs either

QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 18 2016, 10:27 AM) If you looking for CFL, Hitachi, pana, osram, Philip..... I know Hiatchi or Pana CFL is 3500k. I m using it now. Im using osram 4000K cfl. Even the philips and led brand i use now have 3500-4000K bulbs in their catalogie. But the prob is, i cant find any shop in bangi or cyberjaya selling 3500K-4000K bulbs. Thats why im thinking of mixing diff color temp bulbs to get desired result. Possible?

QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 18 2016, 10:47 AM) If you around bangi, go over to kajang. Why a simple warm white CFL so difficult to find in this area? What are you want to mix? 2900k mix with 5000k ? It is no problem as long as it close enough. I do mix the bulb cause the bulb is close together. Doesn't notice much. Dunno man. I went to a number of shops in bangi, ace in cyber, homepro in ioi. Zilch! Warm white ez to find. Its the cool white thats hard to find. Will give kajang a try
