Hi guys,
I am currently looking for good LED downlights. Few years ago I used LED downlights from YetPlus, bought 25 units, each cost RM 89 with 1 year warranty, but they were so bad that each month I had to go to the shop to get replacement. After 1 year I decided to change all my lightings with normal energy saving bulbs. Now I am moving to a new place, and due to bad experience with LED downlights, I was planning to use normal energy saving lights, but every shop that I visited told me that now everyone is using LED downlights and noone is using normal energy saving lighting anymore. So I start to think that I should use LED downlights again, but I am not sure which brand is good. So far I have been offered by 2 shops: - Tong Ging : Epistar, from Taiwan, RM 69, with 3 years warranty - House of lightings : GE, RM 79, 2 years warranty, they said this is their best quality LED downlights
Anyone has experience using these 2 brands, or any other better recommendation?
Many thanks in advance!

QUOTE(spreeeee @ Aug 24 2016, 09:53 AM) GE confirmed more reliable.. Thanks for the info. Did you have any experience using GE LED downlights? The 3 year warranty from Epistar is quite attractive, so a bit undecisive because of that

I went to Wong lighting today and they introduced their in-house brand LED downlight CLIG; made in China with Samsung chipset, warranty of 2 years. Price is RM 36 for 12 watt. Of course they also have more high end brand like Eluminuz (RM 100+) and Osram (RM 85), but they claimed CLIG to be quite a reliable brand that their customers never complained. Anyone has experience using this brand?

QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 15 2016, 06:29 AM) Philips as low as Rm29.90 each. Why choose unknown brand? http://www.philipssmartled.com.my/led_downlightI was eyeing that philips rm 29.9 but i heard that model is discontinued soon, and lower watt. I want to use this for bathrooms, other areas already using philips. Kinda interested with this brand because of 2 yrs warranty
