we chose the conventonal way of lighting our house, ie without false ceiling and downlights, for practical reasons.

do also consider your usage pattern.

if you turn them on and off very often but duration is short, LED may be better as it lights up faster. LED has the disadvantage of having a lower lifespan for the same number of hours it is turned on.
on the other hand, if the application is used for hours every stretch, the energy-saving light will have an advantage in lasting longer.

we installed dimmers switches, but never used it.
after 4 years, i asked an electrician to disconnect the dimming function.

in the long run.. it is all about functionality

Hi All,
make sure you purchase parts that are stainless steel , instead of steel with chome finishing.
The latter will rust within a few years despite being indoor and kept dry.
