I bought one from US apple store. It only for US because the power source is 110V. You need to have power converter.

I need recommendation for good dimmable light? Is typical downlight dimmable or do I need special bulb for that? How about wiring?

yesterday i changed my CFL bulb to E27 LED Scene Switch (9.5w) from Philips. damn... so bright... but had to use adapter cause the previous light was the plug type (g something.

the bulbs come out of the ceiling a bit so not that attractive. but man... nice to have LED. no more wait few moments for the brightness to kick in and also no more flicker~ maybe later i will change the housing when im rajin enough.

i ordered from philips china during 11.11 actually. so was around RM19-20 only. and just bought it along iwth other crap. but i seen a shop in Ikano/curve bridge selling it for RM27 i think. and lelong got it too but i never bought anything off lelong so yeah... i dunno. heres the link. RM25.

i will say the brightness for the warm white is nice. for me its perfect. but for the white my wife likes it (dunno why. i feel like im in my office). im using 6 in my living room and at 9.5W its much brighter than my previous 13W energy saver.

If your downlight is the std downlight casing, no problem for this bulb.

Can you modify and bend the socket angle down a bit?

So the round bulb escape the top reflection.

I am planning to install track lights in the living room and bedroom but I am slightly concern with the lifespan of it compare to the normal E27 downlights.

Mainly for ambiance in the living room. I am planning to place them above the TV console.

As for the bedroom, I am planning to have them as main source of light. Hence, there might not be downlights at all.
