QUOTE(ProdigyZz @ Nov 22 2016, 08:39 AM) hi guys just wanna ask. I am planning to install the light fixture myself. Its a new condo with existing power point. How deep can i drill the ceiling? and what type of screw do i need for the job? No need to drill deep for light fixture. 1" depth should be fine I guess. The main concern is that you need to guess which way is the AC power line was routed to the lighting point. The standard practice is that the wire is laid in 0, 90, 180, 270 degree angle, not at odd like 45 degree. Once you drill holes, put in suitable screw plugs and screw the light fixture. I thought the light fixtures normally come with their own screws. Any screw will do. If fixture need to be hooked, then use hook screw. If the fixture uses special bracket, just screw the bracket with normal screw. I suppose you would be using round head metal type to go with screw plug [attachmentid=8100955]

QUOTE(timetokill @ Jun 2 2017, 12:36 AM) Anyone knows where to get this type of lamp? Looks like a wire ball, prefer white or light brown colour. [attachmentid=8866002] When it collected dust, can you dipped it in water to clean it?

QUOTE(3leafclover @ Nov 11 2021, 10:06 AM) I have the same issue, I have a doorbell point in my new place and we do no need doorbell. I asked the electrician and he said this can be used as an emergency light in event no electric else I think will need to disconnect and seal it - not sure - furthermore the location of that point is odd to have a wall light there Why not use it for sensor to alert you for something going on in front of the house?
