Currently watching season 1 (never seen this show before). Been watching for the past 2 weeks.
Now I have to ask myself, how the heck did I miss this show. It doesn't feel like a TV show, feels like each episode is a "mini movie" with movie-like production quality. Every episode (just finished watching Ep. 7) has been engrossing. This show is so damn well written and the acting is nothing short of exceptional for all characters. |

Finally caught up to GoT up to the end of Season 3. Started watching in July. I was curious after the Red Wedding videos. I thought it was quite a reaction for just a TV show. Well, as it turns out, this is not just a TV show.
These are the most I can't believe moments: - Ned Stark execution : I've seen some promos of GoT and I thought Sean Bean was here to stay on the show, I was like when the executioner was about to chop off his head, something will stop it... but no. Was like a 'Holy Wow' moment for me. - The level of nudity: Now... I heard about it, but Holy wow. The first time - The violence/cruelty component: The show has some of the most gruesome deaths, and it is shown in full glory. Body parts aplenty. Just the first episode, two executions. It was 'Wow' in the beginning, and then more deaths occur in forms I cannot fathom. Killing of children for example was a real shocker to me (implied, e.g. the barbecued kids by Theon Greyjoy was a - Season 3, Episode 9: "The Rains of Castamere" : Wow. Watched this episode on Tuesday and somewhat still in shock to me. I cannot believe it. So this is the Red Wedding reaction. Now I know... I felt the same. Jaw dropping. The way they all died... After seeing all 3 seasons, I must say, GoT is by far one of the best TV shows I have ever seen. The production quality is leaps and bounds greater than any other TV show and easily beats 'cheaper' Hollywood flicks. The entire cinematic quality of the show is stunning. There are so many times I went 'How did they film that? Is that real set or on location?' The acting... faultless. Every character. Every episode. Favorite actors would be Peter Dicklage and Emilia Clarke. Got to give mad props to Jack Gleeson too. I don't think I'll pick up the books. I think the shock factor is a real 'joy' on the show. Will have to wait super long until 2014 for Season 4. Can't bloody wait. |

Wait until get to season 1 episode 7... that 'long scene'...
Also, the title is uttered for the first time quite epicly by Cersei. It has since become a sort of catchphrase. ... Still kinda shocked and overwhelmed about the episode "The Rains of Castamere". It has been 5 days... George R. R. Martin seem to have a knack of making you love a character and then... swoosh. End of the line. |

Yay, finally a date! I shall disappear again as the show begins in my feeble attempt to stay away from spoilers.

Cool casting, no idea about some of the new characters (never touched the books) but have seen all the episodes. Can't wait for Season 5. Waiting for a new season of GoT is always long and excruciating...And then it's all over before you know it.

Sigh...
As Ramsay says it "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." Never read the books, but been watching the show. I would 'stock up' Ep 1 - 9, then the final week to the finale watch them all and then wait for Monday's Ep 10. Damn, I never ever thought he could die. I thought he was going to be there at the 'end of it all' (whatever or whenever that's going to be). Very upsetting too the way he died. Why the crap are the good ones dying... In some ways I just hope the White Walkers freakin takes over Westeros/Seven Kingdoms and kills every piece of living sheeeet because at this point... the most sensible piece of moving beings are the White Walkers. |

It would be awesome if indeed Ser Jorah Mormont aka Mr. Friendzone is the ultimate savior of Westeros. He bares the quality of an unrelenting hero with a mysterious almost yet-to-be-fully-told backstory. Imagine if in the end Ser Jorah is the one sitting on the Iron Throne.

Whoa... can't wait
Never read the books, but I can be safe now reading all stuff GoT related. It will be interesting how Season 7 (which should be the final season?) will pan out ; the book will be quite sometime away from completion. HBO apparently, gunning for Seasons 7 & 8 as the final two seasons. |

Last two seasons may contain only 13 episodes combined
![]() QUOTE HBO is about to kick off the highly-anticipated sixth season of its smash hit Game of Thrones. Wouldn't mind an hour and a half per episode. But ahead of the season premiere on April 24, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed to Variety that despite having two seasons remaining, there may be far fewer episodes than fans have imagined. 'I think we’re down to our final 13 episodes after this season,' David said, teasing: 'We’re heading into the final lap.' The executive producer continued: 'That’s the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that’s what we’re looking at.' David and D.B., however, explained that shorter seasons would allow them to spend more time on each episode. Game of Thrones is set to return to filming in July. |

My GoT Season 6 viewing starts after June 20th's episode... long break for me, and will catch up for the finale as I have always done in the past |
