Just finished watching the finale. Was saving S7 for the holidays, wasn't easy what with every bit of news site / even hardware comments section! laugh.gif

Incredible. Absolutely phenomenal.

Cercei... doh.gif She bags the prize for being the ****eist. Seriously (though somewhat expected).

Jon's lineage finally revealed...

The undead Viserion just tore the freakin wall down!! blink.gif (My jaw was on the floor the entire time...)

Amazing.

Can't believe have to wait until 2019 for 6 episodes (rumor has it would be 1 hour++ per episode). rclxub.gif

If I'm not wrong, the book for this season isn't even out yet right... so it is unsurprising have to wait until 2019. They probably got JRR's "draft notes" to get the story of S7 going...

Thought I'd post this here. I attended Jakarta Comicon and managed to meet Hodor, and attended his panel. Here's a summary:

HODOR panel at ICC
- His character was killed during the actor's birthday, he only knows about HOLD THE DOOR 6 months prior to the shoot.
- When asked about a popular theory about him returning as a wight, he joked that's not a theory that's a spoiler. 😉
- He deny that he knows the ending of the series.
- Best experience from shooting GoT, was the scenes he gets to run amok and snap someone into two.
- His wife was a fan of the book and convinced him to take on the role.
- He literally piggybacked Brann in the series (no mechanical tools or fx) , and it gets more difficult as he aged bigger.
- If he can be any GoT character, he would love to be Arya.
- If he can kill anyone, he would kill Littlefinger (even though he's already dead)
- He was asked, if he can sum what he thinks the ending will be in one word, his answer is DEATH.
- The outfit he worn a Hodor wasn't washed the entire 6 years of shooting, and only 2 outfits was issued for both him and his body double.

The hype is real! rclxm9.gif

It will be a 1 1/2 years gap between the last episode 'The Dragon and the Wolf' to the start of Season 8.

I wonder if Sean Bean will make a 'cameo' though such appearances are really rare on GoT.

How does it all end??!! ohmy.gif

I wish they have this in cinema big screen

My thoughts exactly... just the final episode perhaps? It would be difficult if on an episode basis, but why not the final episode go all out, have a GoT event and then screen in cinemas? rclxms.gif

The final episode of GoT is all set to be the biggest finale of any TV show in years and the runtime is movie length (80 min+).

Amazing episode... one of the best battle scenes on a TV show but it does NOT come close to LOTR's Battle of Helm's Deep.

Arya the real epic one in this episode... but The Night King... I mean it has to end somehow right... so why not, I'm fine with it. biggrin.gif

Oh also she trained blind and used the night against him.... finally her training truly paid off!

And kudos to Lyanna... the small one beat a giant.

The episode had its high and lows but overall a really well made episode.

This season, the plot is paper thin... I think GRRM barely wrote anything this far in detail, so the writers could even be working on 1 line plot points with barely any meat on them.

Though I enjoyed the episode... I can't help but feel how silly the plot was. Danny going mental because of some bells, she could could have easily gotten her victory and stormed the Red Keep. Waddepak... I don't read the books but this episode was so illogical. Cersei was just moping the entire episode.

NK ending was disappointing now this... Oh dear. Next week's series finale better not get your hopes too high.

This season clearly shows how little D&D knows how to move the show forward without the book material.

Major character deaths but they are all so underwhelming.

The ending does not need to be happy, it has to be satisfying.

Dany burning down the city after saying “mercy is our strength" doh.gif

Understand she has been driven by emotion and has taken rash decisions before... but wth, killing innocent women and children?

I think if GRRM completed the books, there would have been a tonne more drama/turn of events that led to Danny being this way... not just some bells triggering here.

I read that D&D mentioned she acted that way "spontaneously" sweat.gif

My prediction: Jon or Tyrion will take the iron throne.

Final episode expected to suddenly redeem the entire season? Oh my... I think it is going to be a disappointing end.

My prediction:
Three way battle for the throne Dany <> Jon (after realizing he is wrong about Dany) <> Tyrion (thinking Jon is unfit for trusting Dany).

Either Dany or Jon is killed, and ultimately a Lannister... Tyrion gets the throne.

Jon sitting on the Iron Throne... too predictable? hmm.gif

Still littered with poor writing and execution (no pun intended)... and some really cliche dialogues that have been plaguing Season 8 (blame the lack of book material)

BUT...

I think it ended nicely.

They are not going to remake the season, like ever, so get over it!

This season overall was a mixed bag but I still enjoyed it and the final episode delivered.

Wow bruh... you didn't even bother to spoiler it just because it was all over the internet? Lucky I didn't read any comments here prior to the final episode.
