he and his stupid honor... got himself and King Robert both killed. totally no match in the political game of the thrones
a little bit slow in Ep08, but finally we get to see Drogo in action! Brutal!!! Mortal Kombat should have him as a character
Was expecting to see some clashes between the army of the houses, but in the end there's none.
Expect to see more betrayals and killings in the last 2 episodes!!
and lastly, my fav quote so far for all of the episodes "Where do I begin, my lords and ladies? I am a vile man, I confess it. My crimes and sins are beyond counting. I have lied and cheated, gambled and whored. I'm not particularly good at violence, but I'm good at convincing others to do violence for me. You want specifics, I suppose. When I was seven, I saw a servant girl bathing in the river. I stile her robe and she was forced to return to the castle naked and in tears. I closed my eyes, but I could still see her tits bouncing. When I was 10, I stuffed my uncle's boots with goat sh*t. When confronted with my crime, I blamed a squire. Poor boy was flogged, and I escaped justice. When I was 12 I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald men cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did. I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel.... " Tyrion Lannister, a Lannister I actually like

of cos la... screen adaptation must change a bit here and there the changes are all consented by the author himself
In the book, Cat need to reach King's Landing b4 Ned's arrival, so she used ship which is faster on the screen, there's no need for such haste, so ride horse la filming horse also much cheaper than filming a ship

reading now on the tiny screen of iphone also... really eye straining lar... local bookstore here dun have any of the books also, have to buy from Amazon liao, but will wait for book 5 to release first, and buy all 5 at one go. Cheaper that way
honestly, local bookstore's books are all over-priced, even books are tax free, they're still bloody expensive compared to the actual retail price of the originate countries

can't wait for next season to see The Imp to wrack havoc as The Hand of King but would the King forgive and forget The Hand that slapped him? IMO, when Robert is still around, the court are still manageable, at least it's just between the fake old fart vs double crossing little finger vs double agent eunuch vs stupid honorable Ned which is no contest. but now it's all hell with the addition of The Imp and the crazy King

Damn, no Sean Bean...
IMO, Sean Bean's performance are so so only, kinda disappointed with him other character's performance a way much better than him, my fav is the Imp and the queen, they really bring out the characters from the book, even added some extra touch

Currently 5 Books. Supposingly, another 2 books to finish the series but the author dropped hints that 8th books is possible. The books are ranging from 700 to 1000 pages each and the font used in the books is quite small. In other words, a lot of reading but an interesting one.
Finally can't resist the temptation and ordered the books from amazon. First 4 softcover boxset + book 5 hardcover + shipping is still so much cheaper than buying locally.
yup. Hate it when the author is taking their sweet time and keep changing his mind on how to end the books. Everyone is so afraid he'll pull another robert jordan stunt

Better not expect too much frm s2. Especially the battle scene. We all see what happened to the so called battle scene between the Starks and lannisters in s1
HBO is rich, but aint rich enuf to film a full scale battle scene on tv

just pop in the bluray last night.... and boy... i'm blown away by the extras in it
the extra is like the mini-wikipedia of GoT, detailing the lores, maps, characters, houses, history and important events and the events before the GoT are narrated skillfully with POV from different houses by Tywin, Robert, Bran & others
i was buried so deep in the extras, before i knew it, it's already 1AM, original plan was to watch ep1
go get this little piece of gems on Bluray, a must buy for GoT fans

With the expanding cast and expanding budget, HBO could possibly do the impossible. Let's pray to the seven that we will get to see the whole series being adapted. It will be 10 episodes long. I would rather have quality than quantity for the Song of Ice and Fire series. Season 3 only covers half of Book 3, according to GRRM. He will be writing episode 7 of Season 3 with the working title "Autumn Storms".
Nay~!!! Pray to R'hllor !! burn the Seven!!
The night is dark and full of terrors!
well... i won't be surprise if HBO pull the stunt of cancelling the season half way... judging by JRRM haven't complete his final 2 books yet, and the expanding cast and budgets... soon it will be too expensive to film just an episode, especially for Peter Dinklage, as Tyrion still will be in the next few seasons as the main cast, you can expect his paycheck to increase as his fame increases as well.
Added on April 12, 2012, 1:35 pmbtw... no advance Ep3 this week from HBO Go?

Thankfully large part of the settings can be shot on the natural landscape across the UK. I remember when Rome was cancelled because it was so expensive to design and create those sets. HBO came out saying some years later that they regretted this decision. I don't think they will repeat this mistake again.
OT a bit basically another main reason for Rome's cancellation is they run out of original stories unlike GoT, which is based on existing popular novel, Rome are based on popular historical figures, and basically after the death of Anthony & Cleopatra, and one of the main cast, there isn't much story to tell after that man... i missed Pullo my fav character in Rome
