busybody, aka 8, is the exccessive concern about a person or something that has actually none related to u urself but u keep asking something more and more in depth due to ?????? (the busybody him/herself dont even know what its the reason).
Concern it a case where u like to care for someone, just wanted to know if he or she still fine, okay or not, etc etc. When someone ask u mind ur own business, dont be 38, none of ur concern/business, they just dont expect u to concern for them, regardless they know or appreciate ur concern or not, u should just leave them alone then |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jul 5 2010, 04:02 PM) QUOTE(silverhawk @ Jul 5 2010, 04:30 PM) I can define it a bit better for you silverhawk's done it again busybody = active concerned = passive A busybody is someone who wants to know, even if the person doesn't really want to tell, so they try to force the issue out, its really selfish. A concerned party will show their concern and provide support, but will not force the issue if you're not comfortable with it. That's a simple explanation anyway, sometimes you need to intervene when your friends are in trouble otherwise they spiral to self destruction. Busybody & concerned? Well, how to define those? When someone can open the mouth and say, hey I am just being concerned about you and bla bla bla, but when shit happens, flees away. But someone might be just busybody wanting to know what exactly is happening, you may even hate that person to be so damn busybody but that person will be there for all the thick and thin you go through, so tell me, busybody is better or being concerned is better?
