If no, what medical document normally have?

Reason for asking: Friend asking if I am of a certain blood type, if yes, ask if I can donate.

go hospital and donate blood, and u will get the cert/book. then u will know from there

i don't even know what my blood type is

u never donate blood meh? no one poke2 u. go to hospital...and tell them u new blood donor. after test, they will give 1 red book for donor...something like deposit book for blood.

before you do a blood test (even if you have done it before) they prick you at the tip of the finger to get some blood to reconfirm the blood type.

anyway, regardless of blood type, its always good to go donate blood. No need to wait for an emergency, then only go donate.

But on a more serious note, if I want to find info regarding my blood type, I just go to any hospital (say Pantai?) and get a blood test. So I can chicken out after the blood test and not donate blood?

I don't have to pay right? For the blood test I mean.

If I'm not mistaken, your birth certificate should have your blood type. I found my blood type through my birth cert.

dunno about skinny but before donate blood, they will timbang you and check your blood pressure

too high/low bp - kenot donate
too skinny/fat - *maybe* kenot donate as well

the red small book if for record purposes. you donate multiple times got this free benefits like 1st class ward treatment etc2. just to encourage people to donate

oh you have to complete a set of questionnaire also before they they your blood... something like gay, blood transfusion, free sex, drugs etc to filter against high risk disease like AIDS / hepatitis or like that

if you donate a number of times you can get free medical treatment.

they will do some sort of blood coagulation test,
to see how well your blood clot upon pricking/injuries

if u blood clot fast enuf, its ok to donate even if u're skinny.
otherwise u bleed like hell..
