WE ARE SHOCKED!

We are posting this with a very heavy heart. A friend, Eileen, who is an independent rescuer called us this morning to say that someone had informed her of a dog that had met with an accident in PJ – somewhere in Taman Megah. This is Eileen’s message after the dog had been found dead. She had also sent some pics.

The dog died right in front of a newly opened cafe in Taman Megah nearby to Lim Kok Wing institute. He has a collar on. Was believed to have been hit by a car, Both rear legs have been crushed and can't move. Have been there for several days but no one came forward to help. Somebody left a packet of rice but doubt the poor boy could move to eat. What has our society come to??? Poor dog in terrible suffering May he RIP. May his death not in vain but help raise awareness that people can do something for injured dogs.

The person who had called told her he was informed the dog, which had a shattered leg, had been lying there for the last three to four days. We are shocked – why didn’t anyone even bother to help this poor dog. What about its owners – did they know that their dog was missing? We made immediate arrangements to rescue the dog but when the caller went back to the scene this afternoon, the poor dog was dead. However, it was still alive when he had passed by in the morning. We shudder to think the pain, fear, hunger and thirst the poor dog must have endured these last few days. Why didn’t anyone even think about calling the SPCA, PAWS or even us – as we are certain that there would have been many people who had seen this dog. What is most appalling is that people can actually sit and eat at the restaurant while the dog was lying there dying! If anyone of you happen to come across this blog posting –SHAME ON YOU! Dogs are mammals just like us that also undergo all the pain and emotions that we are capable of experiencing. Had he been rescued on the day of the accident or even the second or third day – the dog may still be alive. So, we beg you people – next time you see an injured animal on the streets – don’t look the other way. Help it! If its money that you don’t want to spend – you can always call us for a reimbursement – we will pay you back even if it takes our entire month’s salaries. This lack of apathy towards animals in need of help is indicative of a defective society. We just can’t believe that not even one person had cared enough to help. To motorists, next time you hit a cat or a dog – please do the right thing – doesn’t just drive or scoot off. RIP doggie – we wish we had known of you earlier.

Im sure a lot of us are not aware of wat we can do to help the dogs
Numbers of SPCA, PAWS or u guys are not known by many
Do state down those number we can call for help here, in case we need it in future

Very sad to hear about this poor dog who had to suffer so much. May he RIP.

Then shame to all the lim kok wing students who passed by or residents of tmn megah who saw it n do nth....
I guess have to have more awareness campaign to letthe public know what to do when such things happen..
thats the problem wif malaysia if u see a lil boy got knocked , legs broken n shattered n bleeding n crying in pain in the same situation everyone would have saved the boy n rushed him to the hospital but if its a dog or a cat they cant be bothered..
Its hard to believe but its true how some ppl treat dogs or cats has a lower class life compared to humans.

May the dog rest in peace n since he has got a collar i am sure he is someones dog . I wont know how far that owner is from the dog but would be devastated to know if ur dog has underwent such a terrible pain n death.

Imagine your own child got knocked by car n nobody bothered for few days n few days later he died of thirst and pain.

If the owners had looked for him but couldn't find him then, I'm sorry for your loss.

But if the owners had not bothered then, Shame on them.

Be it a mutt or mongrel, it is still a dog. They do not need a MKA cert or pedigree to be seen as inferior to purebreds. A life is still a life & shame to anyone who was able to help but did not.

OMG. I cried reading this... Poor doggie.... Those people who saw it and did nothing are just typical Malaysians who don't care bout animals!

WTF with limkokwing students? only limkokwing students use that way/road? u cant simply blame ppl la MISS ANGLE. not everybody love pets like we does.. Do u have to mention that BOLD WORD?.. and r u sure Limkokwing Institute still ALIVE?

Btw.. RIP that dog.. even im a malay,i like dog.. ChowChow [my dream dog]

RIP doggie. I feel so sad about this. If it has just died on the spot, it would have been better than to be in the same spot for 2 days. I cried too.

hahaha that why.. err.. not closed btw.. they moved to cyberjaya..

back when i was studying at taiwan. i see this a lot. but the difference was people over there actually bring the dogs to a vet, then put them next to shop or something. then daily passerby's would feed it , even saw a blanket once. well, malaysians on the other hand ..

Sorry i dont mean to direct at lkw students in general but to those who passed by n do nothing that result to the death of this poor dog. No offence intended.I clearly said to those who saw it n do nth n not directly at lkw students in whole. So perhaps u misunderstood what i was trying to stressed.. The bold part would be the passerbys who saw it n did nothing. i was just too angry at those ppl whom we might called non pet lovers.
