Haaiz... Now I'm really in the midst of choosing btw 35mm F/1.8 or Straight get Tammy 17-50 F2.8 with VC >.< Dunno how well can the Tammy performs (mayb compared to Nikkor 17-55 F2.8 ED =p), n da IQ compared to a prime. Dunno worth to go da extra mile to a fix aperture zoom lens or juz get a prime.

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Aug 9 2010, 05:22 PM) it's quality vs OS lor Waaa..... 2.9k? den I rather get Nikkor if I got that budget!! y so exp?? Tamron VC oso 1.7k only, so much diff btw Tamron n Sigma ke? both oso F2.8 with VC or OS!(though i admit Nikkor quality wins hands down, but that is if can get nice 2nd hand price la...) dun confuse with Sigma older model 18-50 f/2.8 the new 17-50 f/2.8 comes with Optical Stabilization Shashinki selling at rm2.9k, shops may selling cheaper |

If the sigma 70-200 is near as Nikkors, who would get the Sigma? Added on August 9, 2010, 5:35 pm QUOTE(General_Nic @ Aug 9 2010, 05:28 PM) cant blame, cos their old model 18-50 f/2.8 without OS oso rm1.9k lor, LOL Lol.... Nano coat oso loose? Fluoride code waa.... 1 thing Sigma wins Tamron though is AF speed Sigma using HSM while Tamron is d old slow screw AF motor n Sigma QC is better than Tamron i guess.... Added on August 9, 2010, 5:30 pm dun lie... u oso got go very near leh... ppl say its expensive coz of Sigma new tech dunno wat fluoride coating glass? the built in motor of Tamron oso screw drive? but sure faster den nikkor 18-55 VR rite? extra 1k to reach Sigma frm Tamron ler.... wonder who would go for that This post has been edited by Kent3888: Aug 9 2010, 05:35 PM |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Aug 9 2010, 05:59 PM) Speed wise for the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 from fastest to slowest, I plan to get this F2.8 tammy is for low light usage, i.e pc fair lighting or worse! but u all say it hunts at low light.... means gotta discard this lens in da list....>.< better get a prime F1.8 since it's so1. 17-50 f/2.8 screw driven 2. 17-50 f/2.8 VC 3. 17-50 f/2.8 (built in motor) Added on August 9, 2010, 6:04 pm QUOTE(SoLiD @ Aug 9 2010, 06:01 PM) 35mm - 50 mm is jz 1 step back.. Sometimes when u wanna fit more things into the picture, where there is limited space, I bet I will regret for taking 50mm. 35mm is more like an all rounder. If wanna take full body portrait with 50mm, need quite a wide space for it!! Need not to say those 70-200 like celciuz la...i tried the 50mm on nic and illegaldragon crop sensor ok ma...step further abit only lo... This post has been edited by Kent3888: Aug 9 2010, 06:04 PM |

Make you jealous of the effects >_< Although I had to walk really far away from my model hahaha! If using FX then can go nearer and even more bokeh. But Bokeh wise, I think 35mm n 50mm F1.8 not much diff rite.... not to compare F1.4G la |

It really hurts them la.... Anyway I juz spam 1 shot with jpegLOL, JK... Ignore the ''extreme angle'' part. What I actually mean is if you straight go and shoot at models when shopping with your wife/gf it's kinda not good la. Feels like abandoning them. ![]() |
