Prime lens of different focal length . There is no 35mm f/1.4 yet so.. 35mm f/2 is the closest for FX bodies.

Nothing to show off lah, wait for those 85mm f/1.4D + FX sensor ones to show off .

D90 of course, D5000 lack couple of things which might be insignificant now, but later on you'll know how important it is.

I'm using Sanyo Eneloop, no complaints at all. Working fine for me . Never tried others though, but I've seen a review saying it is better than the Imedeon in terms of recharge cycle rate and also sustaining the recycle rate as the battery is dying.

Totally agree, D90 and D5000 get the D90 if budget allows.

I bought with the charger pack for RM160+ back then. I think the price dropped already.
