well..1st bold is the use of lens hood...
2nd bold : i was quite doubt on what it say...IMO,adding a lens hood wont affect the color neither the saturation...
lolx..ur case different lah..did u see anyone putting a lens hood on fish eye??

Maybe you can try this way in Photoshop

Filter => Distort => Lens Correction => adjust the amount of darken & midpoint under Vignette.

My advice, get a better zoom lens/flash => then only go for flash => prime lens & telephoto lens.

Zoom lens has wider usage than prime lens, can use for portrait, object & landscape!

The few photo I posted in here was using Tamrom 17-50 f/2.8, try browse few pages back.
This problem only happens on the early batch, you can check the serial number before you buy it. Mine is later & later batch, so my 17-50 don't have this problem. The focus speed is slightly better than 18-55, but a bit noise when self focusing.

The meaning is, when u are using 35mm f1.8, u need to get closer to the person to get the right frame while those with 50mm f1.8 doesn't need to stand so close to the person to get the right frame.. and if u are using 35mm f1.8, u will be in their line of sight..... And this will make them hate u... Lol..
