Good week for DJ and investors. Really hope we can have another one next week when market reopens. However still unable to dispose some of short-term holding stocks as the price is still have some gap for catching up.

Glad to see my casino counters been moving up nicely yesterday. Also good to see our sifus here maintain a positive outlook on this market. "C" is like dying stocks lately, got no clue why it been lagging at current level and not moving.

QUOTE(SpreadBeaver @ Mar 31 2011, 07:05 PM) Hi. I'm new at investing in US stocks. ( around 2 years ). I know this may be a noob question, but do i need to declare in Malaysia tax every year , (i move my money to US 2 to 3 times a year ) OR only when i decided to move my investment $$$ back here? I have the same question here last time. Don't think you need to declare your income as money can be TT in without any taxes unless if you sending in millions from the oversea account.Hope the sifus here can tell me. Thanks and hope all the forummers here earn big $$$ ! |

Well, I'm still holding tight some financial stocks as although loomed outlook since subprime crisis but believe if you have holding power then the return might be worthwile unless if we are looking for quick gains. This is the commodity year, next year might be other sectors, who knows...

MGM is up by $1.09 yesterday, the most impressive hike for past 3 months. LVS up by similiar value too. BAC is looking cheaper now, down by 20 cents.

BAC being hammered to $12.82, getting attractive here. Hope LVS could push within this few days to swap over BAC for speculative play.

LVS rocks despite DJ in red zone entire day. Can sifus tell me if it's time to sell it now or just hold a little longer?

MU has been on a good mood yesterday, up 80 cents. Not sure if need to let go my LVS now, been upped $8 since hitting low of $37 during tsunami. Hand is getting itchy to collect BAC now since the bleed started after the report is out.

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Apr 21 2011, 10:08 AM) Nice.. if you got LVS since $37, wouldn't hurt to put a trailing stop target for it. I bought at higher price for LVS pre-tsunemi price @ $43.90, so not making much actually but just worried if the correction might come and hit it so do you recommend selling it now and buy later? LVS is hitting resistance here at around 46.. but the market pulls back before its earnings LVS could dive back to low $40 first. You may get a chance to reload then. By the way, are you sure you want BAC? It is really ugly... C is looking much better among the banks. BAC is ugly but because of it's ugly so we got this price, maybe can keep for some speculative play after the correction subside? I have few "C" and this stocks has been the most laggard as the price is stagnant for so long, no people "fried" it. Also currently I'm looking into "NOK" as I think the new partnership with Microsoft could be a new era of reviving it's mobile biz although many investors disagree. |

LVS up $1.10 now. Should be a positive sign for upcoming report. Break the $50 barrier and move on.

Bad day for LVS, earning not impressive enough.
By the way thinking of topping up my AIG, anyone have any idea or comment since the price looks quite low. |

LVS losing more than $5 in just 2-3 days trading, rather sad as my gamble to wait for the report firing back at my decision. Other banking stocks dying too, the only bright spot I'd seen is MGM which the narrow loss in 1st qtr pushing the price up. Still remember how the stocks tumble during May last year when the Europe crisis happened, anyway hope it won't happen so soon until I throw my possession.

QUOTE(danmooncake @ May 5 2011, 08:50 AM) LVS is pretty high beta but this time, it is actually holding much better despite missing both revenue and eps. I agree with you that markets are behaving weirdly at certain times. LVS is being hammered badly although just few cents lower in the EPS although company are very much profitable and MGM are enjoying good ride yesterday with just a losses which is slightly better than last qtr. I believe LVS will come back eventually when those sellers is off so now thinking if I need to sell off MGM to swap over LVS to hope the correction happen. Last quarter after the earnings report, it beats on EPS but missed revenue, it tanked 8.5% the next day. Eventually, it will come back because LVS is still making profits. It just that Wall Street punishes it because it is "less" than the consensus estimates. MGM - this one I don't get. It gets rewarded +10% by "losing less" with no profit at all. MGM still got $12bln worth of debt. Same like BYD. Wall street expects only 1c eps but it still lost -1c, so it is close enough to get a 10% rally the other day. Frack up market. By the way I'm looking into techie stocks which some of it looks preety attractive after in the red zone for almost 5 days a week. Should I get some to wait for rebound? |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ May 5 2011, 10:34 AM) Which tech stock? I thinking selling pressure still continue here. I'm targetting at MU and NVDA. A bit worried that it's wrong timing since the selling pressure is expected to continue. I think May is rather a bad months for stocks from my observation..lol.Look at Nasdaq or QQQ for tech. I'm thinking buyer will come at the 50MA line later. |

Sold off my MGM after making gains of around $1. Looks like will be staying off temporary for now unless if there's huge correction taking place.
