Agree, LVS must be bought on every kind of a pull back. Just like NFLX.
Absolutely going to the moon.

Was watching LVS.. doesn't even want to pull down to any negative level
despite not so good consumer confidence data.  sad.gif

Aye, but need to glued to the screen. Like last nite, I clicked to trade. Suddenly the price falled when DOW retraced. Then, while watching movie, it shoot up +55cts from off low. I'm caught off guard and the correct expression is WTF!

QUOTE(ingky @ Sep 29 2010, 12:03 AM)
Sold off MEA at $4. Made a nifty 30% profit there in 2 weeks.

HNR is up 15% today. Was up 14% yesterday. We'll see if it hits the $11 range tonight. Highest it's ever been since March 09.

Small caps stocks are really raging on tonight.
*
MEA - risky like PN17 Malaysian Co.

Harvest Natural Resources Inc. rose 14.3 percent to $10.40.(NYSE:HNR)
Par Technology Corp. rose 8.3 percent to $6.00. (NYSE: PTC)

*********************************************************************
My PORTFOLIO :
AA (almost 1 year now, not even moving)
STEC - average 15$. Sold partially last month when it reaches the highest level
KLIC - cash rich, been rangebound from 5.50-6.20$. Bought at high price of $7
HPQ - moving back to my entry price of $44.55. After market up due to "good" news
INTC - bought it when it broke $18.35
S - my current scalping stock
NBG - for fun Trade - entered last nite at $2.25
C - mother trucker! sold partially at $4.01 few days back but still about 1/3 of all

Why so on year end? Any ideas? Y let FAS go? if financial sector were to rebound, I think FAS would be the most rebound exposure. I've not been keeping up with news on the financial sector cause I was concentrating on tech. And I didn't check my portfolio for a month+ till last week. rclxub.gif
*
depends on your total exposure. Is your account on margin? if yes, then time to scalp others loh. Like me, I go for S or eying for MU. For C, better pickup some more to average down.

C and BAC is worth to keep for long term. Not that 3x ETF

not quite, u see, they still have about 60% to go. Not even half sold. Argh... the pain & agony waiting for her to cross 4.30 and reach back $5 before falling back to 3.80's.

Single U.S. trade helped spark May's flash crash

Published October 01, 2010

By Jonathan Spicer and Rachelle Younglai

NEW YORK/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A computer-driven sale worth $4.1 billion by a single trader helped trigger the May flash crash, setting off liquidity shocks that ricocheted between U.S. futures and stock markets, regulators concluded in a report.

The report by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission did not name the trader. Reuters, citing internal documents prepared by exchange operator CME Group Inc, in May identified the trader as money manager Waddell & Reed Financial Inc.

The long-awaited report focused on the relationship between two hugely popular securities -- E-Mini Standard & Poor's 500 futures and S&P 500 "SPDR" exchange-traded funds -- and detailed how high-frequency algorithmic trading can sap liquidity and rock the marketplace.

"The interaction between automated execution programs and algorithmic trading strategies can quickly erode liquidity and result in disorderly markets," the report said.

The "flash crash" sent the Dow Jones industrial average plunging some 700 points in minutes on May 6, exposing flaws in the electronic marketplace dominated by high-speed trading. The Dow was down nearly 1,000 points at its lowest point on that day.

Although the report did not make any recommendations, it lays the foundation for a special commission to propose new rules to avoid a repetition. At least one lawmaker threatened

That is why I do not TT online. Malaysia banks are different from US. They DON'T UNDERSTAND what's SWIFT or ABA ROUTING code because most local banks are CLUELESS about this, that is why they don't provide these two fields in their stupid forms.

Don't waste your money trying this online again. Someone on the other side just try to process your incomplete paperwork and charge you hundreds of ringgit again. Just go to bank in person and explain to a human being face to face.
*
DMC - u must have a bad experience with online TT. I always suggest anyone to use FOREIGN Bank *HSBC, Stanchart, Citi to avoid such. I made 8 transactions - all online using HBSC to 2 different brokers, so far no issues at all.

GOLD again ride high. Bad news is in MYR term, not much changes as our Ringgit gaining on USD. Sold my physical holding, waiting for next cycle.

STEC Inc. (NASDAQ: STEC) is a Santa Ana, California-based technology company providing enterprise-class Flash solid-state drives for enterprise storage systems and servers that companies utilize to retain and access their critical data. The company designs its products specifically for storage systems and servers that require applications to run at a high level of operations per-second performance.

Shares of the company spiked 10% yesterday, spurred by rumors spread that SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) could be interested in buying out the company. Though the rumors sparked trading activity, this isn’t the first time STEC has been involved in fruitless buyout rumors – Last month word on the street was that Dell (NASDAQ: DELL) could be a suitor for STEC, as well as rumors of a takeover by IBM (NYSE: IBM).

STEC announced its second-quarter financial results in August, posting second-quarter revenue of $61.3 million, down 29.1% over the second quarter of 2009 and up 58% over the first quarter of 2010. The company’s GAAP gross profit margin for the second quarter of 2010 was 42.6% compared with 50% reported in the second quarter of 2009 and 34% reported in the first quarter of 2010.

STEC reported GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations of $0.06 for the second quarter of 2010 compared with $0.38 reported in the second quarter of 2009 and GAAP diluted loss per share from continuing operations of $0.11 reported in the first quarter of 2010.

On a non-GAAP basis, STEC reported gross profit margin of 42.7% for the second quarter of 2010, compared with 50.1% reported for the second quarter of 2009 and 34.2% reported for the first quarter of 2010. The company’s non-GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations for the second quarter of 2010 was $0.09, compared with $0.42 reported in the second quarter of 2009 and diluted loss per share from continuing operations of $0.08 reported in the first quarter of 2010.

For the third quarter of 2010, STEC expects revenue to come in between $78 million and $80 million and diluted non-GAAP EPS to come in between $0.18 and $0.20.

STEC stock has a 52-week range of $9.47-$28.88. The stock is currently trading above its 50-day and below its 200-day moving average. It has a support level at $12.38 and a resistance level at $13.83. Year-to-date, the stock is down 18.67%.
