Hahaha... I guessed right. Bioshock 2 at 50% discount & Steam has already edited the price before time timer ran out.

Hahaha. 2 gifts & Steam decided to lock my account up with the same stupid excuse about my CC being declined. Not sure how long I need to wait to get their support to respond to my email this time. doh.gif

I ended up registering a 2nd Steam account just to purchase and send a gift to myself.

Lame...

But I still can't purchase using Maybank debit card even though I can purchase through Moneybookers that have verified by visa secure payment feature. I wonder if Maybank debit card cant work like this on Steam.
*
You're lucky that your 2nd Steam account managed to resolve it for you. I've done the same but still same issue. Oh well, gotta wait Steam Support to unlock it. sad.gif

Urgh, just realised if i buy L4D2 4 pack. 1 must be owned by me.. damn. I always thought i can buy the pack and give out all 4. anyway to go around this?
*
Hahaha... well, you can see if 1 of the parties that reserved a spot for the 4-pack is willing to share his Steam login for you though there will be trust issue involved.

Oh, you've purchased the 4-pack then I guess. I don't think there's anyway you can get rid of it since it has been registered into your Steam account. sad.gif

Uhh...guys, I am trying to gift L4D2 to a friend who just registered on Steam but I can't see him in the list at all... Any cure?
*
New Steam users doesn't have the function to add friends. That's why you don't see him in your list. Just send to his Steam email will do.

Tried but still not working - the Steam credit card pre-emp control is really strict...
*
Welcome to the club my friend. sad.gif Rest assured that you're not the only 1 that has this problem.

Now, to resolve your issue on purchasing the 4-pack, I think the only person left to help you is Edison83. If you're buying L4D2, you might want to give him temporary access to your Steam account so that he can purchase it directly for you.

Next thing to do is to create an account at https://support.steampowered.com & fill in the necessary fields to have them unlock your Steam account.

Good luck!

Weird. I somehow recall that the discount for DiRT2 was only 66% ($13.58). Did I somehow browsed to the wrong region's Steam website? hmm.gif

wat is this??
does it work like steam?
if i buy ,where can i dl the game?

It's another DD platform. Few of the differences are the absence of a client like Steam. Depending on each individual, this can be either / both pros & cons.

not to mention you're comparing discounted price with Retail price. doh.gif
*
Well, I was implying that those who missed out certain games during Steam Summer Sale or didn't have their games listed can actually take a look there with those price comparison. It's pretty useless to compare the price to Summer Sale price since it's not like we can get Steam to revert back to Summer Sale price, no? doh.gif

I tried the demo... As far as music games goes, one of the weaker ones. The issue I have is that the game can't really read beats properly (Which makes getting high scores really REALLY hard).

It is a fun game though... if only they fix the music reading engine or watchamacallit.

Did they change the free weekend deal from Serious Sam to Metro 2033? From what I see in my Steam, the weekend free play is Metro 2033 but based on what you guys are talking about it, it was supposed to be Serious Sam. hmm.gif

Erm... in the Featured PC Games panel, I noticed an item called UBISOFT NEW LOW PRICES with following link http://store.steampowered.com/sale/ubisoftpricedrops but when clicked, it just bring me back to the main page. Anyone can verify that?

I send steam a ticket regarding the purchase problem, they said
"Hello Edison,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

I have adjusted a setting on your account. Please try your purchase again.

If you have any further questions or difficulty, please let us know. "

It working for me now but I dunno for others as steam mention they adjust setting on my account. I ask several ppl to try buy games via steam, all been also facing the problem.
*
That's their default script. Don't put too much trust onto these Steam Support agents' words too much since it's just a template to begin with. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. notworthy.gif

If it were me, i will do the same, u expect they use hand type to reply to customer from all over the world? lol
*
In fact I do, because I'm in the same line of job & using a standard script is akin to killing your own credibility. Not sure if you'll think the same when you somehow got your account locked continuously for no reason & each time you're getting the same ol' reply. doh.gif
