Guess that I am not the only one that buy but never really spend the time to play it. Really envy those who can work from home or don't have to bother working 12 hours everyday.
*
Haha right now I just graduated, looking for job, meaning in the meantime I'm jobless so I can game all day. But once I have a job though, can only play on weekends. And even then I have to study for my professional exams still.

Sometimes Steam is a real piece of horseshit. Like today.

I come home and just want to play some games. It's been 15 minutes and I'm still trying to connect to Steam. I don't know why it takes so long to verify a simple username/password pair. It can't be the network right? I mean, this post I'm making contains more bytes than that.

I can only assume their backend is some crappy piece of shitware.

Hey I tried hotspot shield before, I was able to connect, but I couldn't access my router's web interface (192.168.1.1). What's up with that?

Had good reviews from PC Gamer MY and PC Gamer US.

Hmm if I remember correctly one of the developers of that game is... or was from PCG UK. Or he was some guest reviewer in some issues.

I dont remember Steam being problematic when HL2 came out. Sure I had to wait like half an hour or something for the game to unlock, but that's it. After that there wasn't any problem logging in. That problem only appeared a few days before the last sale started. And it's still there. Now I dont know if Steam or Streamyx are to blame here, but damn it is annoying.

hi every one,

i am using win 7 32bit.
when i download the steam application. The problem till now still can't be solve.

It cannot be connect almost all the time.
But still able to connect to steam and download the "Alien Swarm"

Any perfect solution to fix this ? beside install win xp tongue.gif

i already open every port that list in the faq.

The web page told us to disable the anti virus program or add it into the exception list.

For the new avast, i have no idea how to add it into exception.

May i know how to do this ?

download and install hotspot shield, connect to its vpn service before starting Steam, and once you're logged in, disconnect hotspot shield.

Yes you can. Maybank debit card has been certified to be working. There was 1 Steam service provider who was using EON debit card but all the games he purchased was rendered useless after a few days & it caused quite a ruckus.

Oh OK thanks. Trying to get a friend to buy it. biggrin.gif

Right now when you buy both L4D and L4D-2 you get 75% discount.

Cheaper then getting the 4 packs of each.

4-pack is 75% off for each copy.

How long will the L4D sale last? Doesn't say when I view it in the Steam store. Poor marketing.

how would this work?

trade in as in re-selling back to steam store?
(bought cd key made void)

or giving to other steam accounts?
(very unlikely since cd keys cannot be transferred? or will new cd keys be issued? old ones voided?)
*
Pretty sure from the article it means you can trade it with another Steam friend, and I'm assuming he will pay you with his Steam Wallet credit (or maybe even credit card). Valve takes a slice off the transaction amount. Just hope the percentage isn't too high.

This is brilliant news if real.
