have you tried OTA update via *#0000#? Whats the reason it canot be updated through PC suite or OTA?

So far new version works good for me. A little smoother.
New version released surely got pros and cons. Some have reported bugs, but so far mine all ok.

But my phone is having the sms alert bug even for previous versions. After sometime, msg that comes in wouldnt have any tone or vibrate. Weird.

im still alive and subscribed =)
ive been using it since around april last year as well =)

haha yeah its a tough phone, wanted to change to iphone arleady, but i download the whatsapp, so its still surviving.. just that if u dont hve data plan it keeps connecting.. for now its either galaxys2 or ip4s for me..

wow thats a very useful info for closing the Whatsapp thingie..

I installed liao, quite good, like a taskmanager and cleaner to E72..
Oh need close twice ? no wonder i close d still ask me connect wap or mms accesspoint... lolz..

buttons can be changed DIY right? i was wondering how much the cost of replacing the whole buttons set for E72..

Alan: cause I saw some 2nd hand E72 is selling around RM400.. so im guessing the 2nd hand value is around there as well.. Im not sure how much new one costs now. Probably around 800?

theres an alternative way to disable connection to data,
you go to Settings> Connections > Destinations> go to each of ur WAP / 3G / GPRS / MMS etc > Edit > Prompt password set to "Yes". SO every time if it needs to connect for data, it will prompt.
Well this is temporary solution that I can think of. It will pop up from time to time to ask u to connect via WAP or MMS, but im sure this method does drain a little battery too.

In the end of the day, the Whatsapp for Nokia still Fails as you said earlier.

Sometimes is not necessary to get original battery.. you can look for other OEM batteries that has extra mAh so that the lifetime is longer as well..price is onli around RM20-30.. it willl last, as long u charge when the battery is almost finished..

haha .. E72 will serve good as a 2nd phone for work or office calls.. 1st phone nowadays is surely smart phone already..

yeah nowadays smart phone all battery cant even last a day.. one reason to stick to E72.. anyway anyone tried backup the contacts using Pc suite?
after format phone will the contacts duplicated?
