Proposed Itinerary:(To be updated)

10th July 2010

6.30 a.m.

Meet up and have breakfast. While having breakfast I will assign everyone to their respective groups. I will also record down all the materials/cooking utensils/etc so to lessen possibility of things going missing. Must respect everyone's property. I will also expect the 50% balance.

I will also provide GPS coordinates, maps and written instructions for every group. The idea is that everyone knows how to get there and we will meet up mid-way and re-organise ourselves again before the final half leg.

7.30 a.m

Everyone starts making a move. If large convoy then groups should leave with 10 minutes in between each other.

9.30 a.m
(50-60 km of the route covered)

Should be arriving towards Bentong. Regroup. Light refreshments/brunch re-fuel etc. Purchase bahan-bahan for BBQ/steamboat.

Please make sure that your cars are fueled up properly for the uphill and downhill leg of Fraser all the way to K.Kubu Baru. As the next petrol station (Shell on route 55) is about 70 - 80 km away.

11.00 a.m (65 km of the route covered)

Should be reaching Fraser hill base. Re-fuel and so forth. Regroup and uphill leg begins!

11.30 a.m.

Check in at apartment. Logistical nightmare to assign rooms to everyone and put everything that we brought/bought into the room(s).

12.00 p.m.

Jeriau Waterfall! Lets go splash around the icy cool water, BBQ if allowed, TCSS etc.

4.00 p.m.

Balik apartment. Start preparing for the Steamboat dinner drool.gif

4.30 p.m.

TCSS summore...

7.00 p.m.
Steamboat starts!

11th July 2010

9.30 a.m

Have breakfast at a Nasi Lemak stall near the mosque. I hear good things about them. Dunno sinkalan or not.

At this time try to pack up a bit as check out time is usually at noon.

10.30 a.m

Lets go hiking at one of the trails? Want or not? If not camwhore around Fraser hill a bit.

12.00 p.m.

Checkout of apartment. I will try to negotiate to allow late checkout.

Makan lunch at Pine Resort Restaurant. It seems the place have good balance between price and taste. Dunno sinkalan or not also.

1.30 p.m.

Continue playing around Fraser hill. Hiking and so forth

I would like to take this time to go high tea at the Old Smokehouse. Nothing beats good ol' fashion scones with cream and jam, earl grey tea. Anyone wanna join?

3.30 p.m.

Regroup at the apartment parking lot. Re-check everything that we have brought based on the record that I have.

At this time I will reconfirm the route, GPS coordinates again.

4.00 p.m.

Start of downhill leg of Fraser hill.

4.30 p.m.

Regroup at Fraser Hill base.

5.00 p.m.

Start making our way towards Kampung Kubu Baru.

6.00 p.m (50 km covered)

Have early dinner in Kampung Kubu Baru or Rawang? Pitstop and refuel? or Continue onwards to Rawang?

7.30 p.m.

Continue our return leg to KL via Rawang - NS Highway.

------------

Costs (To be updated)

1. Accomodation : - Arrangements to be made by number of ppl joining. E.g. If 6 ppl going then we get a 3 bedroom apartment divide it by 6 = how much per person lor. If you guys want can do kampung style. Some ppl sleep on the floor. I booking one bed first brows.gif Organiser must have a bit of comfort cos not easy to organise you know. mad.gif

2. Driving distance/toll info and petrol station: I was given this info from my colleagues

Gombak Toll - (2km.) Shell Twin stn. meeting point, Light refreshment/kopi-O, fuel top up - (42km.)
Bentong Toll - (0.6km.) Exit 808 to Bentong/Raub - (7km.) Bentong town - (2.5km.) Petronas stn. fuel top up - (6.6km.) turn left to Route 55 - (42km.) Fraser Hill entry point - (7.5km) Fraser Hill clock tower - Lunch(possibly)

Return trip: Fraser Hill - (35km.) K.Kubu Baru - (15km.) SHELL stn. Fuel top up - (30km.) Rawang - NS Highway - K.L.

3. BBQ + Steamboat materials (If everyone wants a BBQ)
Need everyone's assistance to bawak a few things: (I will track who owns what.)

- BBQ Sangkar
- BBQ/steamboat tools like thongs, pencucuk.
- Disposable dishware/spoons/forks/cups
- Cool box
- Coal
- Firestarter
- matches/lighters
- Steamboat electric pot (Prolly need 2 if it is a big crowd)
- Bowls
- Bahan-bahan buat BBQ and steamboat dinner brows.gif

5. Prices of eateries in Fraser Hill would not be cheap. Remember to bring backup cash. Here are some places that we could eat:

- Arzed Restaurant & Puncak Restaurant serves Malaysian food and you should not miss their "roti canai" and "nasi lemak". They open from 7.00am to 10.00pm

- Nearer to the upper Gate is the Kheng Yuen Lee Restaurant which opens from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm. The restaurant is famous for its "curry laksa" and available during weekends only.

- Eateries at Rawang and Bentong I have no info. Maybe anyone can fill this part in?

6. Those who want to drink please BYO (Bring Your Own)

--------

To prevent FFK, keyboard warrior-ism, sohai-ness, Confirmation would be based upon the below criterias from participants:

1. Number of ppl
2. 50% deposit by latest 23rd of June. Balance would be payable on the departure date.

Departure

1. Meet up at pre-designated day at 6.30 am SHARP for breakfast. Those call last minute asking to wait and so forth GTFO. Catch up.
2. 7.30 am will start to make a move.
3. NO waiting for Late comers, FFK, etc etc. If you're late then CATCH UP. If FFK kiss your 50% deposit goodbye. The 50% deposit will be spent on the participants (food, prostitute, petrol, beer etc.)
4. Return leg will be leaving at 4.00pm. Everyone is expected to be ready by 3.00pm. If no bayang-bayang by 3.30 pm, you're going home yourself.

Convoy Ethics

1. Make sure that your vehicle is in good mechanical order for safety and everyone's comfort sake. No one likes their fun spoiled because someone forgets to service the car, bring spare tyre etc.
2. Make sure your vehicle/wallet/SMARTAG is filled up with petrol, air, water, Touch & Go etc BEFORE departure.
3. STRICTLY NO CUCUK, NO SPEEDING, NO LESING. We don't want a bad image in the eyes of the public. This is a convoy. Lets make it safe and fun.
4. Those with walkie talkie's please bring them. Else make sure Mobile phone is READY TO USE(i.e. Reload, battery fully charged etc.) This is for safety reasons.
5. Ensure that all necessary tools, spare parts are in the vehicle.

---------

Lets make it a reasonably large crowd. Where everyone can have fun and TCSS together. I'm open to suggestions of activities. If you'd like to invite other ppl please by all means, especially hot chicks brows.gif

By the way I've never been to Fraser hill. I'm asking for everyone's support to make the trip a success.

Thank You,
A.

My question was vats the point of using Weber carburettor tuned to the same performance like stock carburettor?
*
weber has exchangable jettings and venturies... means it is fully tuneable...

stock carburetor can be modified to perform... but it is a one way mod... u get it wrong, u buy new carburetor...

Couple of months ago I was kinnda itchy, I sprayed the radiator n the air-cond condenser using the jetspray (high pressure water jet). Now the fins of the radiator and air-cond condenser have dented. I heard sumthing like cooling fin balancing, does any1 know within Klang Valley, where can I get this done?

P.S. The cooling efficiency has dropped due to my itchyness tongue.gif .
