i want to do grill for my windows and doors

from patter point of view, i would prefer those horizontal type. the contractor told me the spacing will be about 4inch between bars

however, someone told me these horizontal type are from security point of view not advisable (need to cut less bar to get in)

i want to ask which type of SIMPLE pattern that you think is most suitable but still retain good styling?

square pattern is the best

square pattern
-easy to paint
-if they wanna break in cutting locks on front door is easier
-even so the grille is only as strong as its mounting points- thieves wont cut it they will kasi hantam with crowbar

ya.. i am looking too for the horizontal type... the developer insist on using and standardize it.. sigh ... roughly how much for such ?
any good recommendation ?
