using laser mouse, logitech MX1000. as for performance, easy to clean, does not warp, and the surface is in between rough and smooth. my mouse glides on it and does not worn out the feet.  thumbup.gif

I tested my G1 on the Destructor. I didn't like it. Very rough and unsmooth.
*
rough as in the surface is rough or you mean like when you move your mouse the cursor does not move much?

I got razer mantis speed. But already koyak. Thinking of getting razer goliathus. Is it good?
*
if you're looking for something to replace your mantis speed then just get goliathus speed. its exactly the same with different sizes thats all. however if you're looking to change to other pads, hardpad etc etc then look around.

i would recommend the goliathus thou, as its thicker compared to qck. if really wanna get a qck i believe the best is the mass or heavy. so if you're looking for a small pad, get the goliathus.

goliathus (270mm x 215mm) is bigger compare to qck (250x210mm).

Both also cloth, can easily fold yeah.
*
yea its bigger and thicker compared to the qck mini but its still considered small sized as there are 3 sizes and yea foldable.

QUOTE(enriquelee @ May 20 2009, 11:36 AM)
Can we use laser mouse on SteelSeries Experience I-1?
It has the same size as QcK mini. but it is a glass surface. Is that mean it can't be fold?
*
there's another forummer which used the ikari laser on the I-1 and said he has no problem tracking even thou SS do not recommend it saying there will b tracking problem. nope not foldable.

Then i think i will consider either qck mini or goliathus. I want as small as possible.
Any other option do i have?
*
i think those 2 are your best choices.

Which 1 is better for goliathus.  Speed or Control edition? Speed is mean for gaming and control is for editing?
*
not exactly based on preference actually. but i do use control as i wan the friction when i move my mouse. speed is too slick for me. maybe you should test it first before buying but qck has only one type of surface and its pretty smooth, however its a very very good mousepad.

Thanks for the info. Probably i will visit moderno to test the goliathus both speed and control. Unfortunately, no way to test the QcK due to it is sealed. unsure.gif
Anybody know where can i test QcK?
If get goliathus, i think i will go for control version. Coz my mamba already very sensitive.
*
hmm. your friends maybe?sometimes high sens players go for speed as they do not need to move their arm so much but control IMO provides better control as i would not move my mouse too much when aiming or something. just my opinion.

QUOTE(Monster Hunter G @ May 21 2009, 01:16 PM)
I have both the QcK and QcK mini, somehow I find it somehow a little too "thin" the surface of the pad that is. However it's a great mousepad nonetheless  sweat.gif

As for the Razer Goliathus I rather take the Speed version, the Control is rather rough for my taste, again this is all preference.
*
yea. that was what i'm trying to say. 2mm for a mousepad is really too thin. so i was believe getting the mass or heavy is a better choice.

I tried the rough Goliathus, and i didnt like it at all. I prefer effortless movements. And also smooth surface is faster than the rough surface, this enables me to move my  cross hair faster.  Accuracy doesnt depend on what type of surface, it depends on how close the threads are on cloth mats are. the more and closer the better.
*
And also smooth surface is faster than the rough surface, smooth says it all. goliathus has 2 surfaces, the speed is quite smooth. izzit?i can never perform on smooth surfaces as its too fast for me. i prefer my mat to be rough as i like to do more work to move my crosshair. we can discuss this till the cows come home as gaming gear are quite subjective so its always based on personal preference. some even buy because of the design. blush.gif

Hey I am planning on buying a razer goliathus speed edition to replace my control edition.. But..I wondering if steel series had a mousepad which has same texture as goliathus speed, is there any? and howmuch for it?
*
not actually same texture but qck is smooth as well. maybe smoother? i'm not sure. there are a variety of sizes so the price of course would differ between sizes. mayb u can consider everglide titan? since they are the same with goliathus speed.

Razer's one more smoother than SS Fnatic, then why still prefer SS.
Mind to share?
*
it's not always a smoother pad equals to a better pad. like i like my mantis control as it gives me more control to my cursor. its bout the control the pad gives you.

but bout razer being smoother than ss, i find my heavy way smoother than mantis speed. maybe because of the fanatic design? shud not be, i'm just guessing.

mostly ppl once switch to Qck, nvr back to mantis and goliathus, except the thickness feel.. and some guys.. haha, i even say bye2 to my mantis.., and yes, speed is smoother than qck, but qck was just at the mid of speed and control..  biggrin.gif
*
ooh. izzit. after reading what you said, starting to have a new light bout my qck. will go test it out the whole night tonight as previously it felt smoother than the speed edition.

I tested a goliathus speed edition and the qck mini, and i prefered qck than goliathus.. IMHO, nothing beats the destructor, no?
*
not exactly. depends solely on what pad the user likes thou. problem is till now no one can give a valid answer that optical mouse can track superbly on the destructor whereas other pads are suitable for any type of mouse, eg: qck heavy which in my opinion is right up there among gaming mousepad. just my opinion thou.
