Hello WoW'ers (or whatever it call)

I want to ask a few question here

1.I just start play WoW at private server (wodnetserver) and now I feel that i want to play at official server. Did MY got it own WoW official server?

2.I got WoW client that I play from wodnetserver. Can I use it to play official server?

3.I dont have credit card. I just read that I can use prepaid to play WoW (like RO). So how much it cost to buy a month prepaid?

4.Anyone still play official server? I might need guide

1. Malaysia does not have its own WoW official server. The closest would be those Taiwan servers I suppose, though I'm not sure if the servers themselves are physically located in Taiwan. To the best of my knowledge all Blizzard WoW servers are located in the US, across multiple data centers.

2. What version of WoW is wodnet currently at? You can see from the bottom left of your WoW login screen. Basically if its the same version, you may just need to change the destination login server thats in one of the configuration files in your wow installation folder. If the version is not the same you may need to update it first.

3. I've only used my visa to pay online since forever. I think gamecard is like err.. rm 90 for 2 months? I don't know.

4. I'm sure from looking at a few of the active threads here in this part of the forum you can make your own deductions that there are quite a number of us playing on official servers.

1. thaurissan is ocenia realm mainly consist or sg/msian/aussies/pinoy. All WoW US Realm located in the US themself with different datacenter location

2.if u buy from 7-11 its RM115 for 2month

i thought buying from gameshive.com cost only RM85? did they revert it back?

you miss understood, thaurissan IS a pvp server,
but in thaurissan, the horde greatly outnumber the alliance,
last i see in warcraftrealms ratio is Horde 6 : alliance 1
you can go anywhere and hardly see any lowbie alliance questing.
and since with the new lfd system, there even fewer number.

BUT

there still some player(namely level 80) honor the old school stv, gankbrad, old world pvp.

What is Thaurissan version now?

all servers are the same...
patch 3.3.5...
u need to be up2date with the current patch or u cant login...

I just start to play using trial version. When I play, I can't choose Blood elf / Draenai and game said Required Burning Crusade. I already have burning crusade in my WoW (before this at wodnet, i can play blood elf and draenei). Btw im using trial version. Did i really need to buy the original game in order to play full version? I already have wow client

trial version i think its up to lvl 20...
BE and dranei would require u to have burning crusade trial / cd key...

jz go to any shop and buy the WoW battle chest...
it has WoW and WoW: BC...
thus u can play up to lvl 70 with all the chars except a death kngiht...

Or you can buy wow + BC + Woltlk if you want to play till end content game. And yes, you need to purchase the original game in order to play the full version. Retail version is far more superior than wodnet =___=

Ya, if you wanna enjoy wow, you will need to see end game content. level 1 - 79 is like training for your final play at 80

maybe i need to join this section becoz im in the same situation like the guy who made this post (i already made my own post but got no reply yet).so im currently playing on 3.3.5a patch on private server.my question are

- can i play the official server if go register n buy the time card?
- does blizzard request the cd key or whatever that can confirm i bought the original cd ? ( i copied this game version from a friend)

about the servers, i will make more research on which server to choose

u need a cd key to register for an account. u can copy or distribute the client to anyone you want, or u can copy from your friend. installing the game dont need any cd key. but you need a cd key to register an official account. With official account u can play in the official server.

okie so i need to buy the cd key only? i already have wotlk 3.3.5a patch so i assume i dont have to go thru vanilla n TBC?

not so sure how the migration from private server to official works. but yeah, if yours is up to date, then no nid patch liao.

some of my ingame friends told me that i dont have to buy the cd key (which i think is expensive) maybe ill try to register n see how its goin to be.i need to confirm on the registration before i buy the time card
