Just wondering whether u guys mailed half of the warranty card back to htc

anyone can confirm whether we need to send the other half of the warranty or not ??
I not yet send the warranty card.. kinda lazy to send it..
online register the sis warranty done, but still waiting for the receipt from my seller..
receipt not yet received..  need to scan the receipt and then send to them.. then only can get the warranty fully rite?

by the way.. how do i check my phone manufacture date ??
cus the sis website stated, if I don't send the scan receipt.. the warranty will start when the phone is manufactured 

guys, juz called sis juz now.

they say muz send the receipt (scan and email them) only will get 2yrs warranty.

i have no idea about this..i already waited them to include Desire more than a month..
at last i bought an ori set from PDA expert..dont want to wait anymore..

so boring, still not get froyo with htc sense update...

it is stable indeed.. been using it for 3 days already.. all smooth but so much more can be optimized.. thats why htc is taking so long to make it perfect.. just wait for the official release.. u will be surprised by it

Is the anyway to change the way we unlock the screen of desire?

let's say I want to do unlock the screen like this:
1. tap any where on screen
2. slide the bar/press whatever button on screen to unlock it

Hey guys.. been using few weeks & always run out of battery.. i would like to get a car charger.. any recommendation? I scare i will buy a china product that spoild the phone.. help!!

The price difference between a original car charger and those generic type is usually less than MR50. For this small sum, why risk buying a cheap charger to charge a 2k phone ? I don't usually use the original htc car charger but use a very good dual USB outlet cigarette lighter ( it is about RM 60 more expensive than the cheap type )  and and he original USB cable. The whole setup cost me RM 130 . The original HTC car charger I plug it in the other USB port of the cigaretter lighter plug to charge my other htc HD2 when I am on the road.

Try Trackball Alert - works perfectly on my Nexus. You can assign different colours to emails, sms, gmail, miss call, tweeter etc. It is a free download from marketplace. The PRO paid version can assign more stuffs. Don't know how well it works on the Desire.  No harm trying and please feedback your testing

Yes you are right. My Nexus experience - The latest Froyo ver 2.2 is fantastic. I'd say it "blow away" and thrash the performance in browsing and download videos/you tubes, streaming compared to the earlier ver 2.1 and my other htc HD2 and iPhone 3GS. It is a highly recommended upgrade

You can unroot it. With this you can install back the stock rom and recieve OTA updates on new rom updates. All these tricks you can refer at forum modaco http://android.modaco.com/category/430/htc...ire-modaco-com/

Unlike Windows mobile phones, you cannot remove the lock bootloader. On Windows mobiles, one can restore everything back to original and SIS will be unable to detect phone's rom has been tampered with.

With Android, when you bootup you will still see a lock logo with the clasp taken off for rooted phones and similarly for phones unrooted after rooting . So far no way  to hide this

i_bony: Firstly the QR Code for Google Open Spot returned a 404 - and I couldn't find it in the Android Market. Add to the fact that GPS is inaccurate indoors, and my office parking lot has no reception (so I can't get a Google Map downloaded) and that all works against the app.

Oh and plus I don't drive, heh.

For Google Open Spot, your phone needs to be rooted and using market access/enabler as the Google Open Spot is currently only available to US, Canada and Holland..
