Hi all, I have been searching Google up and down for some cooling pad and though commonly was said to be Zalman NC2000 I wanted to ask some opinion from you guys.

Which one would really suit it well? I just wanted to get rid of the heat from the area you place or left palm cos the heat is kinda killing.

Thanks for the future reply.

Well some games just doesn't work perfectly fine with Windows 7 and having an extra OS would definitely ease myself.

I tried once before but my computer rejected it as it is a lower version(outdated) and it refused to install.

Sorry to say but I'm actually a beginner in tech's stuff, just following what the guide taught me to.

Shrink the partition, and then restart computer and boot from the XP disc.

You need to change the AHCI to IDE/ATA first before booting the Win XP disc since it won't detect the HDD if its running in AHCI...

Too deep, anyway thanks for the info.
Time to google up and see how to change it.
And again, thanks for the reply.

So after that everything will be pretty simple eh?
Make a new partition and just boot from the disc?

Yes...
But you would need to fix the MBR after done installing Win XP, else, you won't be able to boot into Win 7 as the Win 7 MBR is replaced with Win XP MBR..
For this step, you would need to boot using Win 7 disc then choose to startup repair..

or can try read this guide
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/8057-...ndows-7-xp.html
Read the method two, When Windows 7 is Installed First

I'm very grateful for your help, thanks dude.

Ahhh, a great thanks to lee_what2004 and now I have succeeded in dual booting Windows 7 and Windows XP without any problem!

The downside of this dual booting is finding the driver which really take some times.

What is the current updated version of Mobility Radeon 4670 drivers?
Mine dated back at 29/7/2009.

Tried downloading the latest but it's just not compatible.
Do I need to mod something?

EDIT: OK I uninstalled my current CCC, downloaded the new driver 10.10, mod it, install it but the CCC aren't showing in my comp. Any idea?

Added on October 25, 2010, 11:32 amOK I settled my CCC problem again, anyway anyone have driver for the integrated webcam and microphone for Windows XP?

During a Skype webcamming session, my friend is complaining that the webcam is showing myself in patches.

That doesn't happen when I'm in Windows 7, any help are gladly appreciated.

Yaa I just realised it support mobility.
Hmm, then it should be the IDT I downloaded is from Dell XPS 15 I think.

But it's working compared to all of the IDT drivers I download but now all I left is the mic thingy and to update my integrated webcam drivers.

Can't stand the way my friend keep complaining about the image.

Mine went freezing few times before that I have to restart it.
If I were to leave my game there running on its own and when it heat up everything started to get laggy.

By the way, I'm using a 130W adapter.

Hey guys, I'm planning to upgrade my SXPS 16 to 8GB ram from current 4 GB (2x2GB).

The reason to this is because my computer constantly lagging a moment when I export pictures via Lightroom 3 and CS5 unless I got the wrong impression that these weren't the fault of the 4GB ram.

Hope someone could give me some input, thanks.

^Thanks!! Got it already thumbup.gif

Serious shyte.... me thinking of getting that 5750G as i need more processing power for editing RAW picture files . It's around 26mb per pic btw biggrin.gif

Or maybe I should upgrade my 3GB to 4GB ram first?

Shyte...damn tempting wei that SB CPU drool.gif

Hey -kytz-, what's your comp processor speed?
Mine was core 2 duo 2.8 Ghz, I don't have trouble editing RAW but the problem arise when I'm exporting.
You could feel whole comp being sluggish for few seconds(till the pictures were exported).

Also another thing, I never saw my Physical Memory usage shoot high before at all when I'm using Lr3 so after a while I realised RAM doesn't really help much
unless you're a heavy multitasker but processor speed should help in photoshop. CMIIW.

Not sure for you kytz but I don't see my Lr consume that much memory as it stays kinda stationary all of the time, maybe as what lee said, HDD not fast enough?

When I'm using Lr3, I have my mozilla with 9 tabs running, iTunes, Skype video calling with a friend, MSN Live and Microsoft Office 2007. Physical memory kinda stationary around 65% (2.6Gb+).

But CPU usage would be low except when I'm viewing new image or when I'm exporting in Lr, well that's the only time it become sluggish.

Yes, too high till it would freeze for a moment.
And also, I export 1 picture by 1 picture.

Want to try this?
http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-os...core-2-duo.html

Should be able to make your C2D run at 2.93GHz, I assumed you are using T9600...
SXPS 16 support that method...

Hey, I'm not sure what type of Voltage ID my comp should be using. Any idea on that?

Just put in on normal voltage for the moment, can check it using CPU-Z..
later on, you can further try to reduce it to reduce heat (undervolting)..

Alright, so now keeping it turned on and I saw the multiplier became 10.50.
So I'm done for the day right? tongue.gif
