QUOTE(ampangdude @ Jun 25 2010, 05:01 PM) Does Dell work over the weekend? If not, then I'm going to run some games on it over the weekend to see whether my SXPS16 got any issue or not. Been reading a lot of complaints about throttling from notebookreview.com so wanna test my unit as well. Can't believe this ... only own it for 1 day. depends on if ur warranty... yes for Dell Care, no for XPS Premier... Added on June 25, 2010, 5:04 pmQUOTE(maolnorlexu @ Jun 25 2010, 04:31 PM) guys, is it ok for me to suck all the dust bottom side of my SXPS wit a vacuum cleaner? this works on any laptops i fiddled with before... wait... not the new MBP... becuz there's no hole to suck... QUOTE(victorioz @ Jun 27 2010, 06:41 PM) guys guys guys! anyway play dota with SXPS 16? I cant find the right resolution option. More like there's no suitable resolution offered in warcraft the "right" resolution would be either 1024x768 or 1280x1024

QUOTE(xk2 @ Jun 29 2010, 07:26 PM) alrite thx guys ...sad to hear the "wont be cheap" sentence well, warranty is insurance... of course they will charge higher for old laptops since the probability of needing a service is higher than a brand new laptop...

QUOTE(davehii @ Jul 9 2010, 08:35 AM) quick question, is this configuration NOT optimized for dual channel? 6GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM (1 x 2GB + 1 x 4GB) it is still dual channel... the catch is that 2GB in the 4GB module will run in dual channel mode with the other module, but the remaining 2GB will be in single channel...

imho the rpm is more of a psychological effect...
with the right tweaking, a 5.4k rpm HDD need not be slower than a 7.2k rpm one...
my netbook was booting up as fast as my laptop before i format the latter... granted, i ve less startup programs in my netbook as it mainly serves as an assignment machine... but this juz illustrates how u can optimize ur HDD to achieve a faster load time...
it all boils down to how u manage the files in the HDD...
to me, either will do... only HHD or SSD are worth for the upgrade...
