stare ji-------- Elite 14,813 posts Joined: Nov 2006	For those with C2D setup, if want to squeeze a little bit more of your CPU.... 1. Go to the BIOS, disable Intel SpeedStep.. 2. Download ThrottleStop http://www.mediafire.com/?bvmy1apwtraafzy , credit unclewebb@NBR 3. Run ThrottleStop, might want to run CPU-Z as well to check the clock speed... 4. Don't turn it On first 5. Tick the Set Multiplier, set it to highest you could get... 6. Tick EIST if its not ticked.. 7. Turn it on... 8. Then untick EIST 9. Your CPU should run at highest multiplier all the time... e.g. P8700 will run at 2.66GHz... To revert, just tick back EIST, untick set multiplier, turn it off and go back to BIOS and enable Intel SpeedStep... If want to compare boot time, to make sure it run properly, right click the boottimer.exe and open properties, choose unblock.... http://www.planetsoft.org/utils/BootTimer.exe
