Microsoft has recently announced the release of Windows Live Essentials wave 4 beta for public, there are some great feature coming with new windows live essentials beta wave 4 which will allow to create panoramas, merge different photos together, face recognitions, share photos on social media sites like flickr, facebook etc and you will able to create movies from photos and do lot more with it.

Note: It will be available in English, French, Dutch, Japanese, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, or Spanish. It will work on all versions of windows including windows 7 32 and 64 bit systems.

can somebody help me out, i can't seem to be able to install it,whenever the installation reaches 70+% it will start to roll back and stop installing,followed by an error message ''because there was a problem updating one of the programs,none of them were updated'' is it just me or does anyone encounter this problem?

i had some problem too, but slightly different than yours. maybe try restarting your pc, then install it again?

btw, how do i change my display name? it takes me to my profile name whenever i wanna change it sweat.gif
does this mean that i have to use my profile name only?

without require to open fb site...

Same problem. My friend on another computer with the old Live Messenger is seeing my Display Name though. Guess we lost Display Name functionality T.T

5 things we don’t like about the new Windows Live Messenger Beta

1. Why am I not able to change my display name?
When I go to Options > Personal, I can see an option to edit my name and I have done it but still I can’t see changes on my Messenger.

2. Where are my good old emoticons?
Though the complete GUI and UI of Wave 4 is really attractive and eye catching but we still feel that the old emoticons are much better than the new one’s!

3. Badges:
OK, that’s something cool, but atleast give us some flexibility to add our own badges.

4. Why not Twitter?
I was hoping that may be this time I was able to Tweet from Messenger. I hope I will not have to wait till Wave 5!

5. “In Windows Live Messenger you can draw or hand-write your messages”
That’s History now. Why on earth was this cool feature removed? I fail to understand this. It really saves time when you need to show some rough design while chatting with your friend. I was not able to find if it is there in thies version! If you know, please let me know.

I don;t really like the new Live Messenger, basically becasue apatch doesnt really remove it ads and nudge is not unlimited...
