I don't plan to OC much. and intel has rated 3570k to be 77W TDP. which is much lower than SB. I know cause of the new 3D architecture, temperature is a problem especially overclocking. Oh well, can't have smaller architecture without having a few bumps here and there.

That's a good thought! Some ppl are bashing IB before even digesting the complete picture like you did.

IB is a completely different architecture, it is "hotter" but consumes less power draw. Very odd, but that's the case here. For WC folks, it doesn't matter. For AC folks, get a bigger cooler.

Btw, there may be something wrong with the sensor in the cpu which some have suggested. The CPU is reporting 90C on the PC we are testing now but the cooler is nothing like 90C. We know how hot 90C is, you can feel it when your 90C GPU blows out hot air but this is nothing like it. Either the TJ MAX setting needs to be changed or something must be wrong somewhere.

Realtemp GT is reporting 90C. We do have XSPC thermal sensor that we can install under the CPU to find out of it's really cooking at 90C. It may not be "widely" available but we have quite a bit of them tongue.gif

Cooler Master X6

-Cooler is angled in a weird way that blocks the rams, Ripjaws Z barely fits in there
-Cooler is weak and it is expensive. The 612S is bigger, better, cheaper.
-Cooler blocked first PCIE Slot

The X6 looks a little like Sentinel from Transformers, other than that, we have no love for this cooler sad.gif

For 1-10 rating, how many from you for this cooler?

At over RM 170 for this cooler, Cyntrix Technologies gives it a 3.5 with all the points to to looks only.

Not announced by distributor yet. It doens't look very promising. It's only slightly better than the lousy i30

The thickness of the 612 is barely challenging the GT 1850 brows.gif

Yes. Our own formula. Absolutely non gunking, non toxic, does not evaporate (ok all liquid does but not as quick as others).

It's difficult to get them in proper theme while not compromising performance. We have all the proper recipe but it's sometimes against our culture to go with certain known problematic parts in order obtain the ideal cosmetics.

Cable management on anything above a typical RM 1xx CM casing is not going to be an issue. However, that's not real cable management on the Sniper. That's black stationary board covering the cables tongue.gif

If you use those cables ties to do cable management, make sure not to accidentally short the mobo
