Transcend announced the release of its first HD Media Player, the DMP10. Featuring full support for popular media formats and high-resolution digital video/audio output, the DMP10 offers users a simple way to play their Full HD 1080p digital content on any TV.

Instead of maintaining shelves full of music CDs and DVD movies, more and more people prefer to build large personal collections of digital content on their desktop or laptop computers. However, the drawback is that they must use a computer to play these files, which means their movie watching and music listening experience is confined to the small screen and diminutive speakers of their computer system. With Transcend's HD Media Player, users can simply connect a USB storage device to playback digital media content in the comfort of their living room or bedroom- without having to struggle with clumsy solutions such as burning the files onto DVDs or connecting their computer to the TV.

The new DMP10 HD Media Player is optimized for breathtaking high-definition (HD) video and audio quality through its HDMI 1.3 and S/PDIF digital connection interfaces. Fully equipped with DTS and Dolby Digital audio decoding, plus Full HD 1920x1080 H.264/AVC and VC-1 video decoding, the DMP10 delivers crystal clear sound with breathtaking picture quality and smooth 24p video playback without stuttering.

For easy plug-and-play file browsing and playback, the DMP10 comes with two high-speed USB ports designed to connect external hard drives or USB flash drives loaded with HD videos, digital music and photos. The HD media player supports the most popular HD file formats, including MKV, AVI, WMV, RMVB and M2TS, and its colorful user-friendly menu interface and wireless remote control makes locating and playing media files fast and simple.

With an elegant gloss-black design that fits well in any room, the DMP10 HD Media Player enables home theater enthusiasts to enjoy digital movies, music and photos directly on their big screen TV and home audio system.
