I would recommend cooked ROM by Dutty or Miri. Many versions are available. No hotfix required.
If you want to stick to shipped ROM, then install the latest ROM available to Malaysian set so that Warranty is not voided.

Yes your correct. Flashing from SD will change hspl to spl. Running the exe would not remove hspl. So you have to run HSPL2 and change it to spl. Anyway, you can always check spl/hspl before you send it in by going to tricolor screen just to be safe.

Not sure about the original radio, but last ROM from HTC for SEA is ROM Version: 1.66.707.1 with radio 2.06.51. Are you sure about the radio version.

Just asking, does anyone here have problem with their hd2 especially overheating. Some people have reported this on xda and it can get hot here in malaysia.

Your SPL is correct but make sure u also have stock ROM/Radio.

I experienced the same as you, stuck at HTC logo, when i flashed a corrupted ROM.
Bootloader indicates your device is OK. Try flashing using a NEW SD Card. Best of luck

- go to your setting > About Phone > Software Information > ROM Version ? Radio Version ? list out here. because some Custom ROM may not work correctly


Q for Facebook: Why i cannot view what my friends wrote on my wall? I can only see for eg. "Megan Fox wrote on your wall" but i couldn't see the content. I can only see a few pictures of myself but i have tons of pictures. Do i need to update the facebook? If yes, then how?

A : What is your facebook version?? go to your facebook menu > about > latest version should be v1.1.0.17. what's your?? do check your data connection too, slow data connection may not completely load your FB photos..etc. try update/refresh your facebook status


Q for Opera Browser/Internet Explorer: I got so frustrated with Facebook app then I tried to login with this 2 browser, but it kept saying Incorrect Email/Password. I was in no doubt that I made typo. Everything is spelled correctly and I even made sure Caps Lock is off. Is anyone else experiencing this??

A : could be typo error, try again, also mobile Facebook or facebook on Opera/IE work differently than desktop.



Q for Windows Media Player: I transferred songs into my phone but it only appeared under Music. I dont see anything in Windows Media Player. Is it because I need to have Windows Media Player on my Computer?? If so then how do i go from there??

A : you may transfer your song folder to Storagecard\Music folder and use your MUSIC tab to search your song in the library.


Q for Garmin Mobile XT: The seller helped me install but I reckon it's trial version. So what can i do now? Can anyone guide me on how to install the original version? If can't then anyone who is good with HTC HD2 and Garmin can help me out?

A : How do you know its trial version?? i suggest you bring back to the seller or go google for your answer, there is ALOT of GarminTX How's to in the internet.  


Q for Applications: Is there any way where we can sort of "jailbreak" this phone and download applications for free? I think the pricing of some applications are kinda ridiculous.

A : pricing for these application is not ridiculous la bro, those software developer took their time and afford to build the software, if you like it the application then support it. please be aware that we are not allow to discuss warez here. 


Q for Camera: I love the camera but one thing, how do I store the Images that I took into Memory card instead of Main Phone permanently(sort of a default). I hate the need to push the Storage everytime I take pics.

A : On your camera , go to the MENU. you will see a Storage Card Icon / Main Memory Icon. if you see storage card icon meaning your photo will be capture and safe under DCIM\100Media folder. 


Q about Android: Which OS is better? Can anyone explain the differences between Android and WinMo? Which OS display beautiful interface??

A : Both play different OS. but as a beginner you should try explore more bout your device winmo.


Q about Hang issues: Why does my phone hang sometimes even when it's new(bought it like 2 days ago)? No buttons will be functioning and i can only remove the battery and place it back again when my phone hangs. How do I stop the hang/lag? Or what can I do to restart my phone without having to remove and place the battery??

A : ROM's play the most important role here, like i asking earlier what is your rom version. from there then we can decide where to start fixing your problem. btw, you dont need to remove the battery, there is a small red button just poke the button using a pens to reset the device.

I created a folder named "Music" on my SD card, put some mp3's into that folder, plays fine on my HD2, After I restart my phone, all of the mp3's inside the folder are GONE!...

Anyone have the same problem?, Need to be fixed ASAP

Of course I am not connected, but when I connect to my PC also, the music folder is there but no mp3 inside

Which center did u send it in to? I probably will be sending my unit back as well. It is restarting whenever i use for calls (about 2 min on 2g restart), gps (15 - 20 mins restart), surfing internet with 3g, watching video, playing games etc.
Did they tell u how long it will take to replace MB?
