I am totally fed-up with Indon maids (the last one went home for holidays and didn't come back and she has been with me for 4 years) and would like to seek advice on Thai maids, salary, language, etc. Please share your experience and also how to find them... searching from the internet is not much help. Thanks in advance.

AFAIK thais they dont speak english much, only their own language, which might be a problem. and if you're a muslim, then maybe u will have trouble also, because they are quite attached to their belief. and also, I prefer thais more than indon because i'm half thai myself and i can say they are very clean and hard working people.

we had 4 back 2 back problematic indon maids..even worsE some of them stole our goods before going back,pretend 2 cry alot before they're heading back to the bus station,but then after they're gone only notice tht our goods are missing.thai maid im not pretty sure

my parents have had about 7maids now and they were all perfect. our relatives would ask us how come our maids are very good one, and our answer is that we treat them well.

i know la, from the news we know that chinese families treat maids like dogs. i still dont get why chinese families are allowed to employ muslim indon maids, if your mothers are so insecure about their being crackpot faced aunties and can't compete against them young mainland chinese, they shouldnt put the burden on indon maids that have to go through shithole right?

i remember perfectly every moments how we treat them,everytime my parents goes 2 market for household,they will ask maid if they want anything,just pick n my parents will pay,no matter shampoo,or foods or anything,but they usually will overhead us after some time.started 2 be lazy,started 2 steal foods .we dont mind if they want to eat or what,just that,if u want to eat,grab a chair and use a spoon instead of dipping ur fingers into our soupy foods to grab a piece of small chicken or prawn or etc.and one more thing we want they to be hardworking and not to take advantage on us,some even dare to pinch my nephew/niece .it leaves a big bruised sometimes.sometimes they know how 2 talk back whenever we corrected them.even worse some even dating with outsiders or our neighbourhood.imagine that.we experienced same maid again n again.till we bought dishwasher machine and all worked by machine,unless for sweeping n mopping works.now we're happier without maid,eventho that's a lil bit tiring.

so i guess all u need now is automated vacuum machine. i guess its cheaper than those maids, anyway. and its a robot and doesnt steal your soupy chicken or prawn. they don't even date.

I think all about the same, no matter Indo or Thai. I have encountered good Indos maid and also bad ones, i guess there are no exception to the Thais as well. You want a good service, give them a good reason.

The reason I asked about Thai maids is because generally they are polite and heard they are reliable lot, definitely much better than Indo maids whom i find are pretty unrealiable and always looking for ways to communicate with outsiders. however, I am aware there are good Indo maids as well but I have not come across any yet personally.

thai worker or maid is good.. hardworking n honest but thanks to our goverment slow down our economy by corruption, living standard of thai is better than us already..
thailand fresh graduate with degree are earning the same income as our fresh grad.. but they only need to pay rm3 for a lunch where else malaysia we need to pay rm5..

Heard Thai maids salary between Rm450 - 550 and their approval from M'sian immigration is less hassle compare with indonesia if apply ownself as they are neighboring country. Even our govt is considering supply from southern Thai.
On another note, anyone know if we can hire Myanmar?
