Haha in my opinion it depends. My roommate still having his 4 flat since foundie till now 2nd year and he dont study since day 1. We all think that he is born smart type. But for ordinary people like us, we just need to be consistent.
*
Haha yeah. There's the genius type that can easily consume what they learn. They are those who need to work hard.
I'm more on the middle as long as it's not pure theoretical subjects like SE sweat.gif

And only arrogant people will call people kiasu from them planning their time early. Plus how does that even count as kiasu doh.gif

Timetable arranging is better be done early to prevent clashes, unwanted breaks between classes and even unwanted lecturers though that not sure you can know early sweat.gif

FYI core subjects taken during special semester have double the classes in a single week. Meaning 3 credit hour with 3 hour of class per week will have 6 hours of class per week.

Ahh if thats the case then i think its okay. Lesser the burden during normal sems. XD

QUOTE(jah_skido @ Oct 10 2010, 11:23 AM)
Still sounds fishy to me..esp for Engineering CORE subjects..i doubt that they can properly cover in 7 weeks...the students will really  be under tremendous workload i would imagine. Maybe good for those that are repeating.

Btw i didn't see any language classes being offer during the special sem like Mandarin,Japenese, etc wonder why??
*
As said, though lesser during normal sem, it will be more stressful as it doubles your workload.

As for language class, can't really say. I remember some of my friends took German class before. Thought that was at least 2 years ago. Usually when it is not offered it's due to the low demand.

So for Engineering CORE subjects (3 Credit Hour) we normally take 4hrs a week = 3hr Lectures and 1hr Tutorial.

So for this upcoming special sem would it be like 8hrs a week = 6hrs lectures and 2hrs Tutorial for Engineering CORE subjects??

Yes. Here's an example of mine during my foundation days. 2 core subjects with one IKAL.

Haha Co-curriculum classes I think has been phased out already. Most IKAL classes are either language or general studies. Mostly because back then IT foundations have to take 4 different classes for Co-co. 3 during foundations and one during degree.

Others I have took are Badminton and Kayaking (in that smelly lake shakehead.gif )

Others that are available includes Athletic, Swimming, Golf and Horse Riding.

Haha badminton was the best. Mostly we just played all 3 hours. Damn fun.

Kayak was the worst since it was that damn smelly lake shakehead.gif

I actually took my degree's IKAL late. I think it was on my 3rd year. That time coco are pretty much non-existent so I had to take some general class. sport for workplace or something like that. Damn boring weh. Thank god the lecturer let us chose our title for class project and we pick Paintball. The only moment where the class was worth the effort thumbup.gif

Check your course content. I'm sure they give you a book during orientation. There's also UNITEN's website.

Added on October 14, 2010, 8:41 pmMany complaining about not having apartment tickets. Even the girls in Murni because they are pushing the girls(JPA scholars) from Ilmu to Murni. So Ilmu got more spaces but heard they letting guys into Ilmu. Whats the point of having dogs and fences all around the girls apartment then? Whats happening with Uniten?!
*
Dogs? What dogs?

Anyway apartment have always been an issue in UNITEN. There is never enough accommodation. Last time they actually added an extra bed in Cendi. Put the bed at the study area.

The facilities mostly are fine. Only the two top things I hear people complain are the bus and internet. Both are crawlingly slow.

QUOTE(AzureOfSky @ Oct 21 2010, 03:40 AM)
lol.you can find tunneling services and some are even better than the out you need to pay for free.

meh,I miss the time when I used to download torrent from cendi and get the speed around 1 to 2 megabytes per second for both download n upload.
*
Ahh the days I do not want to go back home just because UNITEN's was faster. Though my last days even with tunneling it hardly reaches 100kb/s. UNITEN is getting insanely congested rclxub.gif

i read thru some of the old post in uniten thread, there is a post saying only the CORE CGPA is counted on our final year, those non-core subject are not counted? is is true?
*
I am not quite sure about this but if the subject is in your course structure, then it will be counted. Core or non-core subjects.
