UNITEN has the most weirdest and stupidest rule I have ever encountered.

First year student by rule aren't allowed to bring any vehicle however their apartment has the MOST parking in all of UNITEN. And even till now, there A LOT of empty slots. Might as well stuff the degrees there as well since Cendi have very few parking lots.

Anyway for vehicles, here's the lowdown.

As said, you need it registered to bring it but you can just bring it anyway. Some of my semester I didn't bother to register since I was lazy enough to do all the process. There's plus point too. If you ever got saman (yes they do saman you for any illegalities (eg: illegal parking), you can just ignore it. If you're registered it will go straight into your ledger balance. Whether you like it or not, you have to pay it.

The bad news is, if there was a ever a spotcheck (a rare occurrence I can guarantee you) you might be stopped as far as the front gate and forced to walk back to your apartment. If you're lucky to pass the front gate, you might be stopped at the Amanah entrance. Again this is a rare occurrence but it does happen. Just consider yourself warned.

As for the process of registering, there are a few documents needed. I can't remember all of them but I do remember the most problematic one (if your house is far), vehicle grant. Get that ready if you ever want to get it registered.

That's only if you park illegally though, if you don't park at the designated parking areas provided
Not sure if they clamp for other offences though, I doubt they do.

Quite a few cycles. Saves lot of cash and easy to move around.

One thing I hate about bicycles are students who just leaves them to rust and rot at the apartments. There's quite a few in Amanah, chained to a pole, all rusted and such.

mind u Mr, how do i save money by cycling? Is the bus is pay per sit?

IMHO their owners are long gone. Graduated or moved out. Even if they were still around, I bet they're not going to care if it went missing. Those bicycle were pretty much left uncared and rusted all over.

I don't think so as well. Murni is like Cendi but the 3rd building is for married people leaving only 2 for students. If wanna put guys there, have to book the whole building which leaves only 1 left for girls. Kind of impossible.

Hi guys, my brother will be entering his foundation year this coming Saturday and my mum packed so much of stuff for him to bring along to the hostel. Can you guys tell me is it really necessarily to bring all these barang-barang.... He will be staying in the twin sharing room though:lol:

Iron
Electrical cooking hob + cooking pot(to cook instant noodle)
Hair Dryer
Kettle(like the hotel type)
Desktop Study Light
Water Pail

Wow...You brought your own mini bar to the hostel. Impressed man....
Is there any self service laundry at the hostel area?

That's pretty normal. My house even has a minibar. Me and by roommate share the cash to buy one. Other stuff was brough like microwave oven, bread toaster, rice cooker, TV, PS2/3.  
Some even brought a full size fridge. Oh yeah not forgetting a washing machine.

Do remember, any stove be it electric or gas is not allowed. If they do spotcheck, do a good job in hiding them or kaw-tim with the spotchecker. Sometime the warden can be quite understanding.

Is there washing machine and iron and dryer provided in amanah apartment? like the one in cendikiawan. coz i didnt think of bringing my own iron board and iron...

which means that if i stay in amanah there will be no washing machine and dryer for self service usage? iron /iron board i crap out 1
