thx guys for the suggestion.....i think i will just stay at the hostel better.....Rm200 per month right???by the way, will it hard to get enrolled to UNITEN???how about the application for the hostel??need to apply before entering UNITEN or after entering UNITEN?

how about the ptptn loan??what is the maximum loan i can get for foundation course in UNITEN?i heard is RM8k..is it real?and is it hard to get the loan??i'm from single parents..

another questions, about the hostel fees......i should pay the fees every month of RM200 or instant for the whole year when registering for UNITEN foundation courses?
thx for reply^^

If you're a freshman, then yes RM200 per month. Once you get to degree, find a house outside UNITEN with your friends. A heck lot cheaper that way.
Hard or not, can't say.
Hostel for foundies is automatic, or to be exact mandatory. Foundies aren't allowed to stay outside campus. Once you done the final registration or lapor diri, they'll give you the keys to your hostel. You'll continue to get them until you finish your foundies. In the first sem, you'll be thrown in whichever room but on the second semester you can pick your own. Fees must be paid for a single month before taking your keys. After that you can just drag it till the end of semester when UNITEN starts forcing you to clear your debt.

PTPTN for foundies can't say as the fees has changed but that amount sounds right. Back during my time fees are 6k and loan is 5k. If you are ever offered an extra loan from UNITEN themselves, DON'T TAKE IT! You'll be forced to pay during your degree course and in my case, it's 700 per semester. Very painful for a student.

another last question.....lets say i paid the registration fees and then i enter UNITEN....so when should i pay the foundation fees since i'm applying for ptptn and waiting for their answer....??if i can get max loan of RM8k...and the total fees was RM9k....so the balance RM1k should be paid before knowing the ptptn result or after??

You'll get ptptn money per semester. Foundation would usually receive about 2-3k per semester. If you get full loan, then that's not an issue. But if you only get partial loan like me, which now i'm getting about 70% loan for my degree, i have to top up another 1-2k per semester.

So, as you've asked. You pay the registration fees when you enter Uniten, yes.
And then you apply for ptptn and wait for ptptn to let you know what type of loan they're offering you. Whatever that is less, you top up during that particular sem. You don't pay for the immediate course at one go, you pay by sem.

So what you need to do now is, pay your registration fees, apply for ptptn and wait smile.gif

Whatever Uniten tells you to pay first, you have to pay first. The rest, as in study/tuition and accommodation(depends on how much ptptn load you get) fees will be covered by ptptn.
As for the accommodation fees, yes, you can pay monthly, that's not an issue.
You have to pay for a month at least first, then only they'll give you a room.

I'd still suggest you double confirm with Uniten, don't because of me you have to sleep on the road pulak doh.gif doh.gif

For partial loan, won't you actually get the loan according to full fee but without any allowances? That's how my degree loan is. Fees are RM40,000 and my loan is RM40,500. This is partial, not full.

The amount i receive from ptptn per sem isn't fixed. Usually it's 4.55k, but once they paid 4.9k. And this doesn't cover the fees in full, i have to fork up extra moolah nod.gif

Yeah I just realized that after going through the ledger balance. 1 of my sem the fees is 7.1k and they only bank-in 5.5k. Imagine the top-up needed to be made sweat.gif
I got a little confused as earlier on, PTPTN actually bank-in the money to students of a fixed amount. Obviously student started abusing it and use it for their own greedy needs rather than paying the fees. doh.gif

Those that get full loan usually tend to "enjoy" the extra benefits. But then again, they have to repay ptptn later on tongue.gif
