Hi, im relatively new to mini 4wd. Used to love it as a kid and now I'm trying to make a more competitive comeback.

I just went to the HK race the other day and realized how slow I was compared to everyone.

I have two questions though.

How do you reduce friction when going through turns, and

How do I make my motor churn out more power because I was using the same motor as everyone else and my car was at least 5 seconds slower than everyone.

try to clean your bearings
take out that sliding bumper at the rear and you will be faster than before
u can also look for kenjian to ask about car setting by the way he is my friend and a hk racer

will be having ah ma from hkm4a to race here this sat too

I thought using the sliding bumper would help me be faster on turns.

I was also wondering why my cars power didn't seem as fast compared to everyone elses. 5 seconds is a lot of time even thought I'm still relatively new. And I was 10 seconds off from the winner too. Average was about 22 seconds and I had 27.

Would it be the battery?

try the 2 thing i mention first see what u got then go on from there

btw, too many extra reinforcement on the car....

How do I sign up for this Saturday's Race?

just come to TU, pay admission fee (ask david how much), u wear the tag he gave, line up, put ur car on the track. done

this saturday..

can't sleep... checking some motor data...

for those powerful motor... normally 3V under no load will consume 0.7~0.8(10A)...

thus, provide high speed and high toque...

but ensure there is no other load that cause power consume when you test...also... no other lube for less friction...

you mean runnin it without putting inside the car ?

yes...no load... run freely...take old batt like 1.5x times 2 batt and try... if can get that figure... which mean power!! hahaha
