our HK friend was shocked to see 'SHEN' built a MS Pro that achieve that kinda speed. And yes i said on facebook group and i'll say it here again, it doesnt matter what chassis you use, VS might be faster but it all depends on the builder.

I will post up my process of assembling my car, which shockingly enough got into qualifying with stock setup, no gear mods no tyres mods just assemble out of box and spare parts out of plastic.

David, thank you so much for your advice last time. And Szng too.

My car went so much faster, it was rather scary to be honest. I cleaned out my bearings and I took out the sliding damper and poof. So much better.

I was wondering. Now that the performance of the parts are better, how do I bring out the best in my motor?

try play around with diff types of bearings first and see what results it made
u can try 830 , 950 . 8-9mm wa ,12-13mm wa 19mm
try playing with roller positioning
and i think those are the basic stuff that you need to master before going to more complicated things as bringing out the potential of the motor
the cover also plays a big part in speed and stability
so there are many things for you to try out and study
try to make notes of the changes that you make to your car and the outcome of doing so
then maybe a problem arise you will know how to solve it by looking at the notes that you have made

trail and error is very important
your skill will grow from there and you can be better

Thanks David.

I started taking some notes today. Figuring out the angles and roller placement was pretty hard because my car flew out a lot at first. Got it right after say the 40th attempt.... Ouch for my super x.

front, 3 layers of paper tag for decreasing the angle, front brake applied to decrease the speel for up slope and absorb the impact when down slope.

rear, HG front wing to extend roller position more backward + 830 AO bearing. almost most of the screw space use to provide better stability on cornering.
user posted image
the rear roller actually absorbed most of the force, until the screw getting hardly bended. that's the reason when i am racing with yayah... the screw getting loosed.

a gutter opened to softer the tire wall...this is the steering system i try to apply for mini 4wd since last few cars.

2 layers of paper tag inserted into the back of the motor terminal, thus to ensure the conductivity...

previously i tried to use 8-9double roller and 830 roller to decrease the weight, however, 12-13 provide more stability and faster corner for my car, so, end up i use heavier double roller for racing...bigger roller has the advantage that crossing the joints of track...

this is the CG of the car at the front and rear, CG not only exist at up and down, it also exist at front and rear... roller position will decided the CG and it have a lot of cross relationship with tire and force absorbed by the front and rear... that's why you see the car moving forward but the rear screw bending....

might discuss further more in future...anyhow, those are my basic understanding on my mini 4wd, you might have better ideas and knowledge, please share and we grown together~ smile.gif

the humps before were really challenging... not so easy to clear... especially if they put 2 or 3 of them in a row... i recall there was one race last year that there were 3 hums in a row along a stretch of straights... most cars can clear two humps in one jump but fail at the third... and yes... they wear out the brakes easily...

the sandpaper... they used to put it on top of a jump... up-ramp - straight-with-sandpaper - down-ramp... so it doesnt make any difference since most cars will just jump over the straight...

now they have two straights with sandpaper flat on the ground... it really wears off your tyres... i think i will have to change my set of tyres after yesterday's race...

stargek singapore also have straight sections with artificial grass, ice cream sticks... wont be surprised one day they will use them... rclxub.gif

that woud explain why the screw keepes bending after 3 laps ... sweat.gif
