UTM skudai is the main campus. all the undergraduate and postgraduates are conducted in skudai. the diploma schools are still running in KL for the time being. it's being shifted under SPACE and eventually will be shifted to bandar penawar campus in the next few years. UTM KL will only run professional and premiere courses only after that.

If not mistaken, master program now is free since UTM is a research uni. I recently chat with a graduate whois waiting for the application, he said no nid pay money...so, why not go for master first instead of jumping straight to phd?

not as much as people think basically.

lecturers earn between RM3.5k to RM8k basic. but then there's allowances that could bring the RM8k basic to RM11k-12k.

but that's not the biggest source of income. lecturers do research, consultancy and so on. they could easily design a new product that earns them RM200k per year.

any alumni from Master of Computer Science (Information Security), which one would you recommend in between Information Security and Information Assurance (new course)?

Regarding the Info Assurance, it is a new course. My future research in PhD are towards Information Security Management such as design a new methodology or approach to secure the computer security. To introduce a strategic management approach or flow chart of how to managing the information security in the systematic way or something like that. Does the Information Security courses teach me that? or would you recommend Information Assurance?     

Another question, I'm weak in Cryptography and binary calculations, is there a lot of mathematical approach involved? Can you share anything about the study environment? The most hardest subjects and the most you like?

I'm also going for a part time as I need to find a job to fund my Master and to pay back PTPTN.. ~.
