first year, the university will determine which college that you will be staying. when u entered second year, u can choose which college that u want to stay. for the inner ring college, u will need 'kouta pengetua' to stay there becoz the rooms thats available there is very limited. 

wow..a lot of computer security...hm..wonder if UTM is facing hackers at a high level..or the country is in dire need of computer security...anyhow congrats ppl for getting a place in UTM..any of u somehow plays futsal?XD

haha..as a matter a fact..i have three others..though we are not really officially a team but we did compete last term..o interested to join us?where would u be staying in UTM anyway?most of us would be in kolej rahman putra..

so many computer science students ~ maybe we can meet up once in U

cannot. compulsory to stay in utm. unless u wanna stay outside, then u have to write a letter to the HEP in order for u to apply to stay outside of utm.

I am staying in KTGB next sem~4th year ady~~muahaha~~
good luck to those staying there without transport~it is really troublesome since it is far away from academic building~

U will see stacks of a lot of rule here, like kenot ccok inside room la~after 10pm must stay at room la~kenot gv frend come in ur room after 10pm lar~~all sort of nonsense~but nobody actually follow la~just hope u not so sui if they suddenly ask felo come up check~but i live there 3 years ady~never kena yet~

actually u cannot. im an ex utm student. i brought my car when im in the 1st year in utm. when the "pak guard" ask, just say that it is a kereta sewa or u lend it from ur seniors.

no. u can pinjam, rent, curi or bully it off someone. as long as u have one at ur disposal.

For evening ceremonies, i guess. 

as far as i can remember, i wore it only once during the orientation week. and thats it. its like one time us for after 4 years in utm.

lol, this is not school. slim chance they're gonna provide u the batik.

i dont recommend it. orientation at universities are different from matriculation. there arent that much things u can do during matriculation. at university level, it's extremely diverse. start from registration, u will be briefed about financial facilities, library facilities, labs, resource centers, faculties, sporting facilities etc. u will also be briefed about college facilities, transportation, accommodations and various other related aspects of it.

these are things u need to know how to use. and before that, u need to know it exists.

some friends of mine who skipped the orientations period spent several weeks trying to figure out that the library has microfilm of all major newspapers since the 80s. then another week to figure out how to access and finally use it.

the point is, why bother learning all that in weeks when they could just brief u in a day (for each facility)?
