Oh boy that Victoria 2 offer is damn interesting....
But its another Paradox made time sink.... reviews are great.... and that period is one of my favorite....
Zzzzzz... I think I will indulge myself.... after playing EU3 a lot recently I wanted to continue into the early XXth century...

Yar, I like the blue coins system too, I usually keep them to buy very cheap games on offer that are only few usds.
Still better than nothing to get some of the amount of purchases back.
Moreover higher level of membership (the yellow/red/black thing) means sometimes bigger sales (like sales can be 50% for yellow, 60 for red and 70 for black)

QUOTE(kianweic @ May 12 2011, 09:32 PM) Holy crap, I didn't know that. So far I have been buying Steamwork games and some older games from Gamer's Gate. Note it's not all of sales like that, some only

Holy Cow EU3 Chronicles is really dirt cheap... make me tempted to buy it from GG while I have all EU3 except DW from Steam.... But that's cheaper for the whole thing than Steam is selling DW alone >_<
Must... resist... temptation...
Now please Steam do a sale on DW so I am not tempted anymore >_<

Yes, I havent tried the option to "download" them from GG and try to play them directly.
But I am pretty sure SM at least is a steamwork game so definitely going to need Steam anyway.
As a note I bought Sm from GG yesterday and had no issue whatsoever to add the free copy of Darksider provider by GG to Steam.
Personally I am actually happy with that since it means I have 2 sources to download the game if I want

QUOTE(kianweic @ Jul 29 2011, 07:06 PM) Interesting. I didn't know I can download the whole Steam game from Gamer's Gate. Initially, I thought it was just the Steam client itself. I havent tried the GG option of downloading it actually, will try later but for some reason the GG website is now loading right now (China ISP FTW, it happens) Edit: Tried, I can download the whole thing through the GG downloader as normal. Same thing for Napoleon TW (which I am 100% sure is a Steamwork game). So I think the Steam activation only starts when all the files have been downloaded, good thing to know This post has been edited by Gormaz: Jul 29 2011, 08:04 PM

You can get bigger discounts in some case.
Like lvl 1 would get 10%, lvl 2 15%, lvl 2 20% etc up to 35% for level 5.
Depends of the offer and games.
I would say it's not worth to "try" to get higher levels, it will just happen as you use the website

Bought "A Valley Without Wind", Arcen is just too much of an awesome Indie developer not to buy their game.
Moreover the game looks pretty interesting

It's a sandbox 2D scrolling shooting/adventure game.
Can get more info on the Arcen website, it's kind of a special beast of a game, good ties with some old school 2D shooting game with a meta-game layer (build your settlement, protect it etc.)
For me it's more "it's from Arcen, it's got to get good at some point"
