QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 11 2010, 05:45 PM) yea tomorrow is the last day of ea sale. it will also be military day. im getting my bfbc2 copy Good find there! BFBC2 is scheduled to be in the 50% offer bin tomorrow ( http://www.geardiary.com/2010/09/09/gear-g...ls-all-weekend/). However, I seem to recall that some games in GG cost double the price in Steam due to price revision by Steam. I sincerely hope that BFBC2 is not one of them but still, I would advise you to keep your expectation low. And the weird thing is, I can't even find BFBC2 in their list of games at the moment. Bummer... QUOTE(donchaka @ Sep 11 2010, 06:22 PM) bro this ea week is region locked right? how u gonna buy it oh? or anyone here can help buying region locked games Dropped you a PM. QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 11 2010, 08:12 PM) i just pay a visit to their uk site and the price is revised to 19.95 pound instead of 29.95 pound. I hate to disappoint you but the EA Week promotion is only applicable to the US region. Anyway, let's see how it is tomorrow. The link that I provided there is an external website anyway so I'm not sure if we should trust it 100%

QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 11 2010, 08:23 PM) using proxy wouldn't work? Hrm? Sorry but didn't really catch you there. Well, I tried to search for BFBC2 in the US region but found nothing. Only the BFBC2 guide. Exactly the same as our region. But there's a BFBC2 UK in the UK domain like what you found. Alas, the EA Week promotion only applies to the US region so I don't think we'll be seeing a 50% discount for BFBC2 UK.

QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 11 2010, 08:28 PM) i thought uk and us offer is the same? i mean you cant use proxy service to buy region locked games? Erm... nope. The GG promotion differs between UK & US region. For this EA Week, it's only applicable to the US region. Lemme try to trace back the twit that I had with GG Twitter Angie. Oh, I can get you region locked games, no issue with that. EDIT: Here it is. This post has been edited by talexeh: Sep 11 2010, 08:36 PM

QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 11 2010, 08:43 PM) no issues mean you can buy from US site? Correction: GG region locked games. Touch wood, so far no issue. On the other hand, Steam is totally out of my league. Anyway, I'll be in office tomorrow so I'll be spamming F5 by 3pm.

QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 11 2010, 09:25 PM) i always up early OK, I managed to locate the post where we both found out that GG was slow in revising the price for BFBC2: QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Aug 11 2010, 06:35 PM) europe 19.99 equivalent to $26. 43% still $26 steam without offer is $29. gamersgate havent realise bfbc2 having price drop from $49.99 to $29.99. i assume the price should be somewhere below $19.99 with price drop. And, guess what? GG must have been alerted since the normal price for BFBC2 is now $29.95! We'll see about it tomorrow!

Football Manager 2011 pre-order with 20% discount ($39.95)! Take a look at all those massive games that come bundled along! I'm kinda skeptical so I've dropped GG a twit about it. Let's hope that there's no error.

QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Sep 14 2010, 11:44 AM) meh, US only. 1 day some more. fail promotion! The only fail part would be the region lock issue, which is actually more on EA's fault. The rest is more or less similar to other DDs. The good news is that the region lock isn't as strict as Steam's.

QUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Sep 14 2010, 04:37 PM) aww the game can be start but crash to dekstop then the game close itself sigh.. im redownloading now hope its ok this time You have 2 systems right? Perhaps you wanna try on the other system? Kinda weird that you've been having issues with GG games for many times now. At which part did the game crash? Halfway while playing? You had a HD5770 IIRC. There are quite a number of driver updates been made available recently, you might wanna check them out. On the other hand, my HD5750 has been crashing my SC2 a couple times too, but not to the point of pulling out my hairs as of now. This post has been edited by talexeh: Sep 14 2010, 04:48 PM
