QUOTE(under18 @ Dec 14 2010, 12:39 AM) i got no issue after use CM6-RC4. just my facebook apps cannot play video at all. I use auto for installation. I think it still use few MB even if you move to SD. I install Angry Bird Season which is 12MB but I notice my internal memory decrease by few MB only.then have to open browser is wanted to see the video. that the use of Flash10. 3g mobile hotspot working good, now my fren can use my internet on the go. before this his Desire cannot detect my hotspot. only nokia or laptop can. hey xboxx, wan to ask, when install to SD, which do you use? cyanogenMod>apss setting> install location > external ? or after install , just move to SD ? coz i see, the internal memory still been used after move to SD card.but just 1 or 2 Mb. is it normal? QUOTE(sinach @ Dec 14 2010, 11:03 AM) xboxx thanks for the answer. Yes, you can install back to 2.1, just use the RSD lite and flash the 2.1 image. Or if you got make a backup of 2.1 with OR's Nandroid, you can restore it back. The only drawback is all your data will be gone, so make sure you got backup your data. This also apply when going from 2.1 to 2.2.anyway, i plan to try manually update to froyo as everybody did that and looks like i can wait no more for standard update. just a question can i flash back to original 2.1update1 if happen got problem on my attempt? how? |

After reading about all the perks of 2.2 and the apps for pay, I'm not impressed -- none of it motivates me to face the hassle of rooting and reinstalling ROMs. I still read help messages out there complaining about bricked Milestones. What I have now with 2.1 is enough and perfectly usable so I can wait! 111 |

QUOTE(scpt @ Dec 28 2010, 08:29 PM) Nandroid backup should include apps & data as well, I've tried it before. It works by "copying & pasting" everything including settings etc. Only thing that don't work properly is that the time will change. Maybe u didn't use the backup all option? It can backup everything? Haha.. bad luck for me then..before moving: /data/app/com.fede.launcher-2.apk after moving: /system/app/com.fede.launcher-2.apk Ok I've noticed some reloads now, but only after I use a memory intensive app, like 3D Gallery & certain games. Still, it's much less than before U can OC in the OpenRecovery menu or edit the overclock file urself @ /system/etc/init.d/10overclock |

official froyo on Milestone is imminent.
right now there's a leaked Brazil sbf with froyo. it's probably a final build coz it was for Vivo telecommunication company (like Starhub for SG) now waiting for CM6 to use this kernel. some of the new thing: Contains a bunch of new apps/tweaks, e.g. a decent camera interface. The new battery management looks great, with a night configuration that saves power when you´re sleeping new multitouch keyboard its filled with lots of motorola junk like Motonav, motoID, phone portal..etc Battery life seems great. Flash works fine. The camera looks like the version from the official 2.1 rom. Market gets updated the automatically to the new version Requires data wipe if coming from CM stock speed: ![]() OC to 1Ghz: ![]() new lock screen: ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(treeantz @ Jan 17 2011, 08:53 AM) Does anyone know if it is possible to be connected to the internet on MS with data cable connected to an Internet ready laptop? (no data plan enabled on phone) you can use wifi from your MS to connect to your laptop.I believe teethering enables laptop to be connected to the net with MS acting as a modem. Is it possible to have the reverse? use Connectify to make your laptop become router. QUOTE(rushmode @ Jan 17 2011, 12:29 PM) how was the Brazil 2.2.1 ROM? everything working fine? how about the baseband.. does it have any problem with signal reception? baseband doesnt work. Have to use OR and change to SG baseband. You have to flash the "vulnurable *something*" again if you use this sbf. After that use OR for change baseband, OC, etc. But latest CM6 is using this new leak kernel already, so no need to do data wipe.so APAC official 2.2.1 Rom is just around the corner eh? doesn't care much since CM6 have been very nice to me. btw, any one try Momax or the other battery (forgot)? I'm afraid using a cheap S china batt.. later my crotch suddenly on fire QUOTE(more69 @ Jan 17 2011, 04:42 PM) i didnt use apndroid, just go to setting and change.QUOTE(scpt @ Jan 17 2011, 05:23 PM) Eager to try out the latest sbf. But I've come to live with the CM mod features, kinda hard to go without them now. if launcherpro is your dissatisfaction of CM6 then better dun use this new sbf. Now is even worse, almost everytime i open an app and close back, have to wait around 30 seconds for the launcherpro to load.. Then again, the LauncherPro keeps reloading issue seems to be getting worst and I'm considering giving the Brazilian sbf a go You can try the latest CM6 see is it better or not coz if change to this sbf have to wipe data. In the OR got option to "fix permission to prevent app force close", this together with launcherpro setting to prevent force close might help, but i never tried it lar. I have uninstall launcherpro and just use android default homescreen, this one didnt have the loading issue. |
