QUOTE(under18 @ Apr 17 2011, 02:39 PM) seem stable for me than cm7 HO!NO!. camera stable and more smooth than cm7 HO!NO!. whats the extra functions in miui?last time my HP always force close, now seem stable.almost all functioning, except wifi tether. but now can tether using old skool eclair wifi tether software.works charms. more function in MIUI setting as its launcher good. i dont use launcherpro anymore.just try ADW EX, but change back to stock MIUI. last time when use CM7, the only better feature than 2.2 for me is the marker when selecting text. miui got experience random reboot? QUOTE(nightzstar @ Apr 22 2011, 04:22 PM) official 2.2? doesn't it lag and the sensitivity sucks? the default launcher very laggy so i changed to ADW, sensitivity is ok only when you press something it will takes around 2 seconds before the app open. OC will also helps.btw, any recommended sd card for milestone? the recommended size and seller the faster speed of SD Card the better, fastest now is Class 10 if not mistaken. |

Do you have any recommended software to erase ext2 content? This post has been edited by xxboxx: Apr 26 2011, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(pcphobic @ Apr 26 2011, 10:30 AM) Yes. This free software called mini tools partition wizard. that software for partition only? can it access ext2 partition and erase the content?http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i'm using partition magic, but it can only re-partition it. last time do until phobia already, fat32 need to be primary, ext2 also need to be primary, then somehow my Milestone can't detect the ext2 or refuse to install to ext2. |

QUOTE(oneeleven @ May 5 2011, 11:16 PM) After getting the 2.2 and moving everything to SD, now home screens a bit laggy or even hang a while. Is there something I shouldn't have moved to SD? Or have I just loaded too many apps into the phone? it's Moto 2.2 traits, they somehow makes the launcher a bit laggy.. 111 if your Mlestone is rooted, install root explorer and navigate your way to /data/ and choose "open as text" for 'local.prop' file. then add this line: "ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1" at the end, after that press enter one more time to make sure there is a empty line at the lowest row. save and restart and your launcher will be a bit better. |

QUOTE(oneeleven @ Jun 10 2011, 09:35 PM) What is the highest capacity and class memory card our MS can take? I think classes 8-10 must be overkill, right? higher classes mean faster access to the stuff is SD card. so no matter root or not still will get the faster speed benefits.Does choice matter if not rooted? 111 |

i do have init-d folder in system.
i follow the steps in this links: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047536 indeed it is faster now. 2048 yield the fastest with average of 8.6MB write and 21MB write. previously only 15MB read 6MB write. |

I don't have 99complete file in my init.d folder. So unsurprisingly after I paste your file into the folder and restart, the read_ahead_kb in 179:0 folder it still at 128 value. Maybe it only works with CM and Cronos ROM. I'm using stock ROM.
I'm now using SD-Booster to set the value and auto apply on boot. I set it at 768 value, although it give lower result on the benchmark, but it feel much faster, with 2048 I still can see short time of pictures in gallery haven't load but now can't see it. Guess this value is better for file size 2-5MB. |
