Hi,

Do anyone knows how much is electricity consumption for fish pond pump? I have this brand called 'grundfos' KPBasic 200 - 1x220-240V.50Hz.

Please advise if this pump consumed high electricity?

Thank you.

there should be a label somewhere that states the rated current draw and voltage
the one you gave is voltage, i.e. 220-240V, 50Hz
the current draw would be something in Amp unit

Added on June 18, 2010, 3:32 pmok, a quick check online returns a power consumption of about 220W
so it is roughly 1KW-hour for every 4 hour of operation
24hour usage return about 6KWh
cost per day is 6 x your electricity tariff

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help. I did search online on grundfos pump but cant find anything.
I did a calculation of 6 x 0.286 = RM1.716/day x 30 = RM51.48/month (RM=Ringgit Malaysia).

I must say it is somehow quite expensive to run. I mite run 12 hrs instead. Hope fish are ok (tilaphia).

Thanks again.
