Hehe need the teleconverter somemore if want a longer range..
Using 1.4x means..
75-300 x 1.4 = 105-420mm (:
If use longer teleconverter than sure will b :yummy: more bokehlicious
(Peeping Tom, to the joy!)
if i recall reading somewhere, anylens that is over F4(eg: F5.6), using TC will make it unable to AF (too dark), so u can only MF with TC+ >F4 (not sure correct or not, correct me if i am wrong)
tc works best with F2.8 lense (AF purpose) other then that, if MF is not a problem, then there is no problem at all

Added on July 4, 2010, 8:32 pmor was it after the aperture multiply with the TC should not more then F8?
something like
F4 x 2x tc = F8 (cant AF)
F5.6 x 1.4x tc = F8 (cant AF)
Added on July 4, 2010, 8:41 pmahpingko, there are 2 types one TC (of what i read and know of)(and one is extensiob tubes, which is glassless, meant for marco, not tele)
the generic has less glasses and more clearance to fit into any lenses. (each lenses the rear sometimes pops out, hence only generic TC can be use)
the other is the dedicated (sony's TC and Tamron SP-model) which has more glasses, less clearance (limited lens can fit it) and very little quality loses
