fansoption: My favorite combo is the 16mm pancake and LA-EA1 with 50mm F1.4 on it (it's the only thing in your lineup that is small enough to match it.)

Congratulations on the real TLR.

faizalmzain: Yes, there is an add-on flash extender - since it did not come in the box, I presume it comes with the Sony E 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 Active OSS.

8tvt: As far as I know - not sold separately (unless they eventually do.)

MechaHerc: The existing flashes are too heavy LOL.

Ah hao: Smaller sensors get better magnification and shorter focal lengths - shorter focal lengths mean the lens doesn't need to extend so much to focus close. That's why your T2 can go much more macro.

Longer focal lengths e.g. 55mm mean you are standing further away from the same subject. The angle of view is smaller so the background is magnified more. This is why it looks like the bokeh is better - you're just scaling the background bigger!

Depth of field increases the further away you are. That is why a close-range shot at F5.6 appears to have shallower DOF than a far-range shot at F5.6.

ianho: You seriously damn steady lah. My first attempt with Sweep Panorama and the fisheye adapter didn't look so nice. And I'm quite used to Sweep Panorama on my Cybershot WX-1! (I wonder if firmware 1.02 helped - they said there were improvements to Sweep Panorama!)

lencent: With the lens hood on, yes, but I don't remember if it does when the lens hood is reversed or not attached. (I don't have the 18-55mm.)

Izwan898: I'd say the ISO should be about the same given that it has the same DxOMark rating. Movie mode, 3D Sweep Panorama and Sweep Panorama are definite pluses though! However the A550 can use proper external flashes.

ianho: Which RAW processor do you use to identify your lens? It's quite unlikely as Sony creates new lens IDs for each Sony lens they come out with (as opposed to Tamron and Sigma, which re-use Minolta lens IDs.)

Also, ACR 6.1 and DxO 6.2.0 can't open NEX-5 RAWs yet (unless you're using Sony Image Data Converter - in which I find it funny that they can get the lens ID wrong!)

The fisheye converter has no electronic contacts so I doubt it would give a different lens ID, though.

Firmware 1.02 adds 3D Sweep Panorama, improves the performance of Sweep Panorama, improves the startup time (I tested it next to my colleague's 1.01, definitely 0.5 seconds faster with cap on and without cap on) and improves battery life when the camera is off.

The 1+2 (36 months) thing is still being sorted out on Sony's end - I paid for my Sony Extended Warranty as I wanted the 36 months but some people got it for free. Will call them on Monday to see how this is resolved.

noprob: Niiice!

Kul | Mo0: Congratulations!

ahpingko: I much prefer your Danbo pictures to the flower. The flower is too tiny to make an impact.

braindead_fr3ak: You guys should get in touch with Reza Salleh, really! (I hope to photograph/videograph you guys at Moonshine, heh.)
