QUOTE(MaBa1986 @ Jan 18 2011, 10:09 PM) Erm,can some1 post some good application for this xperia x8?Its too many..I mean an application that must have on this phone.. It's really depends what you do with your phone. If you wanna read e-book, go for Laputa, the best e-reader so far on Android. Dropbox, ADW Launcher, ASTRO, ColorDict, Winamp, Swype, Photoshop Express, GPS Status, Papago X5, exPDF Reader. Just to name a few. |

QUOTE(canon18 @ Jan 23 2011, 07:07 PM) Hi, I installed Papago x5. But I think the gps is not working. The satellite icon is blinking at the top right corner. Anyone encounter this? What does the blinking satellite icon mean? The blinking gps icon means that the Papago is trying to get a gps lock. It might take long time if u at indoor area, try download gps status for gps lock before running Papago, I find it way faster than Papago initiating the gps. This post has been edited by ghost_301: Jan 23 2011, 07:18 PM |

QUOTE(kennymanta @ Jan 28 2011, 02:51 AM) By default I think it should only play 3gp and mp4 files, check the white paper for Xperia X8 below.http://developer.sonyericsson.com/cws/down...728/X8_WP_4.pdf Resolution should be the native resolution of Xperia X8, then it should play fine on the device. |

QUOTE(kennymanta @ Jan 30 2011, 06:09 AM) does anyone know why my x8 will auto restart after i plug it to the usb port? It's a bug in 2.1, though somebody doesn't have this issue. Turn your phone to silent or vibration mode before you plug in USB. It should solve the issue for now.yesterday don't have this problem, thx |

QUOTE(astria @ Feb 3 2011, 04:29 PM) not sure if anyone else encounter the same bug... Yes, I do. I have mentioned before, though some mentioning they don't have this issue, I thought I am alone. I have tried, any apps or even the original camera app would auto restart the phone frequently, for now I have not found any workaround to prevent this, very frustrating indeed.sometimes, when i press and hold the shutter to sue the camera, my X8 would reboot itself... this doesn't happen all the time though... sometimes it reboots, sometimes it doesn't... ve reinstalled the ROM but the problem persists... it's running Eclair, unrooted... |

QUOTE(Ultima @ Feb 3 2011, 11:34 PM) dunno bout others, but i think for those who wanna get a new phone, find another phone besides x8 if u like to play extensively with ur phone.. Yup, I echo what you said. X8 is really a nice phone, except it can't go to 2.2 or 2.3 for now, hopefully SE change their mind in the near future. us x8 owners will stuck ar 2.1, nthr is no other way to get 2.2 except custom roms for now (if there is any btw, x8 is a good phone, mine is running very2 smooth n i like it very much, its juz thts about it, nothing more.. It seems LG Optimus One is a better alternative if one is looking for X8. |

QUOTE(astria @ Feb 4 2011, 12:31 AM) well, i did contemplate abt Optimus One when buying the X8 for my mum... X8 wins in camera, battery life and UI (hat off to SE for having an easy to use interface for first time smartphone users), while Optimus One wins in software and flexibility... in the end settled with X8 since it's my mum's first smartphone... Hmmm ... I am not sure but in terms of camera and bettary life, I would say optimus one should win, although I didn't have any hands on experience on it, but auto focus and 1500mAh battery can't go wrong (as opposed to fixed focus and 1200mAh in X8), but probably UI is a good one for first time smartphone user. Correct me if I am wrong though. This post has been edited by ghost_301: Feb 4 2011, 12:44 AM |

QUOTE(langsk @ Feb 17 2011, 01:04 AM) Currently No..... Regarding the Chinese song coding, try to change the idtag using mp3tag (simply save the tag, I forgot v1 or v2), then it show up correctly. Using winamp though, but should work for the original player.Yes if you have root your phone. (ps: root your phone may void your warranty I'm also facing the same problem.... I think is cause by the info in the MP3 tag...no time to figure it out, let me know if you have the solotion. |

Hi guys, need some help here.
I need someone help to verify if it's my phone issue or all X8 have the same issue. Start Camera (stock), then go back homescreen, then lock the phone, then start camera (stock) again. Most of the time my phone will restart itself, same goes to Vignette app on the phone. (happens in 1.6, 2.1, and latest 2.1) I have saw a few people having the same issue, but seems like most of you guys doesn't have this issue, so I am thinking to send back to seller for a repair/replacement since it's a manufacturing defect. Help me guys! Thank you! This post has been edited by ghost_301: Mar 6 2011, 03:16 PM |
