i'm thinking of getting myself a new phone but haven't decided what to get yet but i'm interested in this X8...i think i should start reading this thread from the 1st page

thinking of grabbing the X10 Mini Pro, then later this X8 was announced, which one i should get?

X8 because of the 320x480 resolution to fully enjoy the android experience

I got an original set for my sister, but funnily I cannot download apps. It just says 'Starting Download' ... and that's it. No problems on my 2.1 X10.

Anyone else having this problem? I have a feeling the 2.1 update will solve it, but I don't think I want to wait that long.

Can anyone confirm that X8 using Qualcomm MSM7227 processor?

Anyway, how's angry bird performance on this phone?

If you want camera, take x10 mini, x8 more to screen resolution..

A ngry bird ok, but frequent hang . Not because of thephone, it's game problem

Even hang on HVGA device ? Will that relate with the 1.6?

K I cant confirm u with tht, but many ppl with diff device claims they hv frequent hang on this latest version of angry birds...
At least this latest version of angry birds makes it playable on x8 tho, previous version u cant play it at all....

Anyone who bought the ori set of this handset can tell me whether the package comes with additional covers / 2gb MicroSD card?

and also the earphone is the in-ear earbud type or the normal type?

yeap, it does comes with 2gb memory card but no additional cover. the earphone is normal type

Ori does not come with the cover? Thats weird, coz mine ap set with extra cover, ori shud hav to imo..

btw, the sound is too soft, any recommended equalizer to make the sound louder?
the phone only comes with normal and silent status? no more outdoor and other status?

I cn live wit juz normal n silent, n yeah, the sound is a bit soft, but i can live with it.

I didn't see vibration for notification alert.
Eventhough I have install 3rd party software for vibration, it just didn't happen.

For the call? Juz go to setting, under sound n display, thrs a function for vibrate for incoming call...

I juz bought an X8 Ori for my GF. now downloading the PC companion and other software.

Yes, as darren_1084 mentioned. just normal headset, 2 Gb card , no extra cover but they give ori screen protector lor.

The screen protector, does it fits nicely?

is it possible for x8 to get multi touch after official release update to 2.1.... =.="

PC Companion is included inside the sdcard, just plugin the usb cable and you should have a option to install the software from the phone...


by the way, may i know what is the
1.Baseband Version,
2.Kernel Version and
3.Build Number
of your (Ori) phone???
want to check what is the diff (for software) betweewn the AP phone and Ori Phone.
