hi guys..just wanna say..tis game is awesome..

anyway for those who thinks that there is no timeline just wanna say that Miyamoto san and Aonuma san says there is a thick detail book telling all the timeline.

and they said that each game is created with the timeline in mind. so every game is connected. Only Aonuma and Miyamoto (few important Zelda dev) have seen this. Miyamoto and Aonuma had the luxury of choosing which part of the legend that the would like to tell in each game..(there may have been some retcon to adapt to the future games but the idea is still there). Most of the inconsistency may cause by the mistranslation to english version.

finally here is one great timeline structure that may lead to a conclusion and confusion cleared.

yeah but still...a good story teller can make everybody understand the basic timeline without having to rely on a GUIDE BOOK tongue.gif

I understand that u'd probably need a guide book for strategies etc..but just to understand a timeline? either they are so smart..or probably they just go to a meeting somewhere and try to make sense of it all.
*
no..you are getting it wrong.

story was never the main intention for zelda creation.

Miyamoto san tell this. He doesnt freaking care about the story. He just want to create gameplay.

What he meant by the story guide book is that, the gameplay element will involve a certain story element which is related to a specific timeline.

the guide book was never meant for us (gamers) but for his reference on what element should the next zelda be about..

He doesnt mind us not understanding the story line..

and like i said before, the timeline is for fans who like these elements of where and when the game would took place in the next zelda.

check out the link.

the problem with Skyrim is that,i felt the game has no weight..i dont know how to define this, but it feels light.

but Zelda game (not SS cause yet to play), you can feel the weight. its like when you move link around, compare to moving your character in skyrim, moving link feels more satisfying ( you could say Zelda is more polish). It feels heavier with link as if the game was imbued with a soul.haha

not to say Skyrim sux but, you know...

perhaps u don't understand what i meant...i just said from the very beginning, they could say it upfront..there's no direct link to the story line between games and each adventure is a new one. I myself not seeking for a relation of storyline/continuity between zelda games, i just treat each story like i treat all FF games..the only diff is, zelda games always repeat the names of its main characters.
*
hmm you i think you are thinking it wrongly. There is a reason why the names of the main characters are the same and it seems that rumors saying that LOZ:SS will tell you the reason why.

Did you check out the link that i gave? that should gave you a certain idea.

there is a trend showing that, each Link will have 2 game.

and Each first born girl for the royal family will be named Zelda.

Not to mention when zelda games revolve around fate and destiny of 2 ppl. Zelda & Link, (and Gannon in some cases)

i think you are really taking the names lightly. there is a reason why the names repeating.

on another side note.

there are Zelda games that are missing of the main character that always around.

for example : Link's awakening was without any zelda, Majora Mask as well. oracle series(iirc)

so all in all, Zelda world is the same world since the beggining of the game, the question now, which game came first.

its all about the reincarnation of link and zelda (mostly link).

and to be honest, actually on 2 names are repeating, which is Link and Zelda, and considering the game name is Zelda, the only name that repeats is Link, also worth mentioning that Link name can be rename to anything else.

there you go, no names are repeated from one game to another.

yes..same as FF  biggrin.gif Get what i'm saying?
*
nope i dont get what you're saying.

beside, the last FF where name can be change was FFX and even that you can only change tidus name.

and point is that the names are there for a reason. Its not a different world like FF.

FF plays with a different world in each game.

Zelda on the other hand plays in the same world.

for example, LOZ:PH was connected to ST like by around 100-200 years. and the connection was one guy who actually saw both link in 2 different generation.

yes, there are some FF with connection.

FFVII - FFX

FFXII- Tactics aliance

Heck if you check out on tactics alliance, there are character with the same name as well. Montblanct for example.

point is, LOZ was created to be in same world.

While FF is not in the same universe. (FFXII and FFVII are the only ones connected out of 20 series of FF)

its a different story telling style.

well the review had some problem. i mean the reviewer, he actually used the controller wrong way. the reason he gave it low cuz he thought the control sux. after a heavy internet rebuttal made against him, he finally admit he was wrong, but he jjust refuse to change the score. he is just trolling zelda fans.

and i have played the game. from my opinion. this is the best zelda, after Majora Mask.
u need some time to get use to it(the controls)...at least until second dungeon, and then bam! you know its the GOTY.

just finish playing skyward sword...quite adventures....but map not quite big as previous zelda...
*
because in previous zelda, ppl complain that the map is too big but empty..

anyway...

Just wanted to say this quote.

"WHEN THE CHOSEN ONES APPEAR...THEY ARE ALWAYS BORN INTO THIS WORLD IN PERFECT BALANCE.

THAT IS THE DESTINY OF THE CHOSEN. THAT IS THE FATE DECREED BY YOUR GODS, THE ONLY PATH FOR THOSE

WHO BEAR THEIR CRESTS.

WHEN THIS WORLD BRINGS FORTH ANOTHER MARKED AS YOU ARE...

KNOW TOO THAT IT SHALL ALSO BE VISITED BY ONE OF MY BLOOD.

DO NOT THINK THIS ENDS HERE..

THE HISTORY OF LIGHT AND SHADOW WILL BE WRITTEN IN BLOOD!"

well i think, how you swing doesnt really matter, what matter's most is that the angle and the direction on your swing, you dont really have to swing or move your arm alot, infact you only need to move your wrist. so try that, helps alot.

the reason i felt that wii motion plus is slightly better to compare with add on motion plus, is because of the calibration and the connectivity.
